I don't want to watch a scary movie
I don't want to feel afraid
They say it's just a movie and it's not real
But I don't see it that wayI see vicious killers seeking revenge
I see people that hate their spouses
I see murderers and kidnappers
I see people getting killed in their housesI can't distinguish real from fake
It's a very blurry line
After all of the credits have rolled
Nothing ever feels fineThe movie may be over
But you can't press pause on reality
The killer might be dead
But I feel they're still out to get meI live in a constant fear
I can never be too sure
Of what is lurking in the dark
It's the farthest thing from pureSo I will not watch a scary movie
I already feel afraid
They tell me not to worry
But the bad thoughts never go away
