Where Dashi's compassion gets too much for her and Kwazii comes up with a new winter water sport...

AccordingToTheAccordian: right, I know it's probably dangerous to ask this, but... why is there a shoal of fish in the Launch Bay?
AccordingToTheAccordian: and three crabs on the toaster in the kitchen?
AccordingToTheAccordian: and a baby sea turtle in the HQ?
AccordingToTheAccordian: and why on earth are they all decorated in tiny LED Christmas lights??
SaySeaweed: haha... yes, I was going to come tell you about that :o
AccordingToTheAccordian: what have you done, Dashi?
SaySeaweed: It's Christmas Eve! <<<<-[]
SaySeaweed: And the water's freezing today!
SaySeaweed: And lots of these guys looked so cold!
JumpingJellyfish: fish are cold blooded...
SaySeaweed: but they were shivering! i was swimming around the reef taking some Christmassy pictures and some of them looked so cold and lonely, and no-one can be sad at Christmas!
GamerGirl: Dashi, you're way too compassionate for your own good
SaySeaweed: It's not my fault, really

GamerGirl: Shellington Sea Otter, what have I told you about following Dashi's plans?
JumpingJellyfish: ... she said they looked cold and they somehow did, even though I am a rational scientist
GoodAsNew: actually, it's kind of a good thing that you did bring some of these fish into the Octopod
GoodAsNew: some of them were getting colds, and I have plenty of kelp cold medicine
GamerGirl: where did you get the Christmas lights for everyone?
SaySeaweed: well, my family did send me them for Christmas to decorate my room
SaySeaweed: but they just looked so sad and it's Christmas! Who doesn't want to wear a necklace of Christmas lights at Christmas?
AccordingToTheAccordian: i'm not even going to ask how that works
SaySeaweed: now they can all spend Christmas being warm and happy :D
SaySeaweed: a hundred festive friends
SaySeaweed: I have a group of sea snails in my room
GamerGirl: you have way too much heart, Dashi :)
GamerGirl; although this shoal of fish does look kind of hungry... I'll get the Vegimals to bring down some fish biscuits for them
SaySeaweed: because I'm the only one on this ship that's a bit of a sap

GamerGirl: oh, he went out about an hour ago and said he was going sledging
GoodAsNew: he asked me if I wanted to come with him but I was busy with all my new patients today
GoodAsNew: and finishing off wrapping all my Christmas presents for you guys
AccordingToTheAccordian: I'm sorry - sledging?!
AccordingToTheAccordian: does he know there's no land for fifty miles around us?
AccordingToTheAccordian: we're in the middle of the ocean at the moment
GamerGirl: I showed him the map and told him exactly that
GamerGirl: he just laughed mysteriously and told me he'd be back in about an hour

AccordingToTheAccordian: without any snow?
FastAndFearless: oh, right, I've just created the best sport ever!
FastAndFearless: first, you sit on top of the Gup B then find a nice slippery patch of seaweed along a slope on the sea floor
FastAndFearless: then you bribe a few dolphins to give you a push down the seaweed hill, and you slide down!
FastAndFearless: and then the dolphins have a go
FastAndFearless: all the fun of winter sledging without any of the cold, icy snow
FastAndFearless: I call it seaweed sledging!
GamerGirl: um - great
GamerGirl: so Kwazii's invented a new water sport and Dashi's filled the whole ship with random creatures covered in multi-coloured fairy lights
AccordingToTheAccordian: when would the Octonauts ever have a normal Christmas?
