Repeating Mistakes

Start from the beginning

"Yes, Sir," I spoke up a few seconds later, giving him a small kiss on the cheek before getting out of bed.

I felt a hard smack on my bottom, making me jump. I turned around and pouted at Mr. Faber as he laughed at me. Thankful that I wore clothes to bed, I began to walk to the door. As I was about to open it, hands were placed on both sides of me, trapping me between the door and Mr. Faber. Turning around, I gazed up at him.

He leaned down and whispered in my ear, "Don't think you're getting out of a punishment, pet." Leaving a gentle kiss on my cheek, he moved back and opened the door. "Come on, before Avalon eats all my pancakes."

Blush was painted on my cheeks as I followed Mr. Faber to the kitchen. Ava was sitting at the table, her phone in her hand. Surprisingly, I could tell she hadn't eaten, which normally she would have eaten the whole house by now.

"Look who's still alive!" Ava exclaimed, "Took you two long enough!"

"Sorry, Ava," I giggled, making my way to my seat at the table. Looking back at Mr. Faber, I watched as he took the seat across from me.

Ava was the first to grab a few pancakes, slathering them in strawberries and whip cream. Mr. Faber looked expectantly at me, so I took one and took a bite out of it plain. The two just looked at me and laughed.

"Come on, pet, eat like a big boy," Mr. Faber shook his head, grabbing a few and placing them on his own plate.

Dramatically, I sighed and placed the pancake on my plate and lathered a few strawberries on it. I cut a small piece with my fork and shoved it in my mouth, giving Mr. Faber a messy grin as I did so. He shook his head at me, smiling, and lathered his pancakes in syrup. My attention was placed back on my own plate as my mind wandered back to the food. Why was I eating? A voice made itself present in my mind. You're so fat. Why are you eating this? You're so disgusting! It kept making little comments so I started just picking at it, not eating a bite.

"Jasper," a voice spoke, making me jump from my thoughts. I looked over to see Mr. Faber and Ava staring at me in worry.

"We've been calling your name for a few minutes, pet. What's wrong?" Mr. Faber asked, his eyes full of worry.

"Nothing is wrong," I lied softly, "I'm just tired. I couldn't sleep last night because of..."

"Maybe you should try sleeping some more then, Jase," Ava suggested, looking between me and Mr. Faber.

"I agree. So, up you go, pet. Back to bed," Mr. Faber spoke, dominance strong in his voice, as he got up. "Ava and I'll clear the table, then I'll come join you. Alright, pet?"

I nodded as I got up from my spot.

"I can't hear you, pet."

"Yes, S-sir," I mumbled before sprinting to my room.

Once I reached my room, I closed the door and threw myself into my blankets. Tears began to pour from my eyes as I thought about everything. The voice was still taunting me in the background of all my other thoughts. It made me feel so insecure.

A lot of time seemed to have passed as I laid in the bed by myself, waiting for Mr. Faber. I began to wonder if he had just left, deciding I wasn't good enough for him. Because I wasn't, I wasn't good enough for anyone. Right?

Tears were welling up in my eyes at the thought, but then I heard the door open. Hiding beneath my blankets, I waited for whoever it was to find me. The bed dipped as the person sat down. Hands began searching through the blanket for me causing me to giggle slightly. I wiggled my way out of the blanket to see Mr. Faber looking at me.

"Are you alright, pet?" he asked, wiping a few stray tears with the pad of his thumb.

"I'm o-okay, S-sir," I whispered, looking down at my hands.

Mr. Faber gently placed his hand on my cheek, making me look at him. "I know you're not, Jase. And please believe me when I tell you that whatever those voices are saying to you, they are wrong. You are so beautiful and worth everything to me. Okay?"

I could only shake my head, not believing anything he was saying. The voice was right. But why would Mr. Faber lie? My head spun, trying to figure out the truth. I whimpered, tears falling from my eyes.

"Shh, pet. Go to sleep," Mr. Faber spoke softly, running his hand through my hair. I purred in content, letting my eyes close. I felt safe.

"Don't think I won't forget about your punishment, pet."

I barely heard him speak as my mind let me fall into the silent, peaceful darkness.

Wait, what punishment?
