Mirrors

Look at yourself.

You're a clone of society.

You try to be what they want,

yet they still frown upon you.

You'll dodge the mirror afraid of what you'll see.

Afraid of what you're becoming.

You feel rejected, alone

Everyone looks at themselves and smiles.

They're proud of how they look.

They say you look good,

but you feel far from it.

you pass a mirror, you almost turn.

its not worth it. you keep walking.

Mirrors everywhere.

you can't seem to resist.

you turn and stare.

you see yourself as you are.

You don't feel any worse.

You smile.

You'll realize it doesn't matter,

You're your own person.

you walk away feeling better than before.

you cant stop smiling,

thanks to the mirrors.
