It was June twenty six, nineteen sixty four.
A man who will make wonders
Wonders his world will know

Despite his different perspective in life
Amidst the battles life has thrown
Enduring the pain he has known

And then at fifteen his father said goobye
Never knowing it will be the last
He remember his father saying 'Be the man you want to be and don't let someone make you even touch their dust'

He vowed with respect
The man his father taught him
A gentleman he become

Then a fair maiden he met
Fair as an understatement
For she is strong, his equal

They battled the war together
Lose together. Win together
Against all odds they never cower

He made a house with strong foundation
Fairness, love, and with God
A house he turned to home

They had four kids
Now growing and still are
Intricatedly fabricated with morals and strong faith

He mans every single thing
Alongside her they master all things
For soon they will face an extreme change

March seventeen, two thousand and twelve
Dreaded
The day our world stood still, temporarily

He then, too, said goodbye
He was still the captain of our ship
The respected house

He left her but not alone
For his heart and soul he gave her
His living memory prevails

I am the legend's daughter
I am his
And forever will be

'Heroes will be remembered
But you know legends never die'
I will keep swinging to tell his story until I gasp for my final breath

The man
The legend, the wonder
My father
