The Guardian [ Gruvia ]

Chapter 4: Friends

Back when we were alone, Mira and I, she told me that he was cold hearted but it doesn't seem that way...He is such a sweetheart!

As soon as we started to enter the living room I turned my look to see Mira. I suppose she was waiting for us. Hm...I wonder why didn't she go with the others...

"Hey love birds", Mira said and looked towards us. I looked at my hand and found myself HOLDING HIS HAND!
He realised that too so we both quickly let go and turned our looks the opposite ways. How did that even happen?

"We are just friends...." I said and we turned our looks towards Mira.
"Yeah right...anyways, are you going to the guild with me or not?", she asked and I jumped out of excitement trying to end the awkward moment.
"Yeah, let's go!"

As soon as I said that we walked out of the house into a city pretty unknown to me. I know Magnolia but I have never been in here. Mira was showing me all the interesting things of the city. Gray was just silent all the way.

Suddenly we stopped walking. In front of me was a tall building with a sign on the entrance. I immediately recognized it. We were in front of Fairy Tail.

I held Gray's hand, now willingly, and went towards the entrance. He didn't seem to be bothered by that.

When we entered it was all just like I immagined it. Happiness was felt in the air although everybody was fighting. Some of them were drinking but they were all having fun screwing the rules. It was like they didn't even notice us. Now I wanted to be a part of this family even more.

Suddenly I sow a chair flying towards me in a incredible speed. I prepared to dodge but Gray stopped it. Awww...my Prince saved me again!

"What are you doing Flame Brain! You almost hit her!", Gray yelled and Natsu just smirked.

"Seems like I missed caz I was aiming at you, Ice Princess!", Natsu yelled back and I couldn't help but smile at their childish behavior.

They were exchanging glares and insults for some time before they started running towards each other preparing to fight.
This was going to be a friendly fight though...I could see it in their eyes.

They were one meter away but something suddenly stopped them. It was Erza. How is she so fast?!
She didn't say anything though. She just gave everyone a death glare and the whole guild stopped doing what they were doing. It was silent for a bit until a short old man showed up.

"Listen kids. I heard that we have a new guild member, am I right?"
I stepped forward going towards him.

"Yes, and you are probably the master, aren't you?", I said and he nodded.
"Come with me", he said going towards his office.

When we arrived I sat on a chair near the table and waited until he 'climbed' the chair he was supposed to sit on. He was too short.

When he finally did it he started climbing the table. I helped him this time because I was running out of patience.

He thanked me and looked at me like he was examining me.
We then talked about me and my reasons to join and stuff. I showed him what I could do with my water magic and he seemed like he was satisfied. Then he told me I got accepted!

I immediately run towards Mira to give me the emblem. I chose a dark blue one on my leg. I was so happy that I finally have a place to call home and people to call family.

But wait...a place to call home...
Where will I be staying?

Mira seemed to notice my change of mood.
"Is everithing ok Juvia?", she asked me with a conserned tone.
"...", I was debating in my mind if I should tell her or not.
"You know you can tell me everithing. I am your friend now." That word 'friend' sounded so good now. Iw want to trust her.

"Well...you know...I ran away from home...then Gray saved me...", I was explaining untill she interrupted me.
"Say no more Juvia. I already have that taken care of.", she paused turning her look to Gray.
"You can stay in Gray's house. He already agreed to it.", she said and let out a giggle.

"Really! Thank you so much Mira", I literally jumped at her and hugged her tightly. She just smiled and hugged me back. After the hug I turned my look to Gray. He was still fighting with Natsu. It was kind of cute.

The sun was slowly being replaced by the shining moon above me. Moonlight. It always loved to feel it on my skin. It made me feel special...like my mother always told me. But I Never thought I was any more special than anyone else. Everione is special in their own way.

I was laying on the bed in my room. It was right beside Gray's.

I couldn't help but notice how much has changed in only 2 days...it didn't seem possible but I sow it with my own eyes. My life has changed for the better.

I found a lot of new friends, joined my dream guild and found someone special to me. I couldn't help but smile at everything that happened.

I better get some sleep tonight because I can't wait to go on a job tomorrow...my life was perfect, everithing I always wanted...

Grey's POV

Even though I was fighting Natsu all day I noticed how she watched me all the time. It didn't bother me...I was just curious if she felt the same way as I did.

I stood up from my bed and walked towards the window. My room was right beside Juvia's so I could see her sleeping trough her window.

But it felt strange...It was like she was stealing all the moonlight of this world...like she was attracting it in some way...

No...It has to be my imagination. But she did look beautiful under the moonlight, I had to admit.

Well, it is time to go to sleep. I just stripped into my underwear and trowed myself on the bed falling asleep immediately, still thinking about her.

Third Person POV

The day seemed perfect but life is not a fairy tale. The air was getting cold and it was like darkness was filling Juvia's room while she slept. It was like a fog that didn't let moonlight in.

A few steps away from her bed dark red eyes could be seen watching her closely obviously waiting for something...for the right moment. Just their look could make you shiver.

As the fog moved arround the room it was revealing a man hidden under a dark cloak, nothing more, nothing less. How he got here, why he is here...unknown.

Juvia seemed like she was really cold but she didn't wake up.

She felt alone....like she lost something precious to her. The mysterious man started slowly walking towards her, step by step.
A quiet whisper escaped his mouth and his hands moved above her like two feathers in the wind...like he was casting a spell.

Suddenly, it seemed like the fog in the room lightned up a bit. A magical circle was slowly appearing arround Juvia's bed. It was very quiet...like the man didn't want Juvia to wake up.

The signs on the circle slowly started to connect and the room started getting even colder. The moon outside, now turning red all of a sudden, could still be seen...It was like the moon was in pain...

...the circle was almost complete...
