His feet felt sore as they harshly collided against the ground whilst his breath kept getting caught up at his throat. His lungs on the other side burned, even If he had just hydrated just a couple of moments before. His mind was clouded, and his heart kept pounding against the bones of his chest as If trying to make her way out. In the dark, quiet corridors, the only sound that could be heard and echoed through the concrete walls was Newt's heavy breathing.

And that scared him to death.

"ALEX!" The boy screamed, but the only answer he got was the judgemental stares from the non living walls. That much until he finally lost his mind. "ALEX!"

As he turned into yet an other section of the gigantic maze the sound of his footsteps followed him suit. Something like vines were hanging from the top of the gigantic walls, but even when Newt tried to focus on the material that they were glued to so that he could pull on it and possibly break it so that he could make an way out, the only thing he saw was darkness. Pitch, eternal black.

A cold wave ran down his spine but he moment he stopped, the sound of footsteps continued to echo through the corridors. However, they didn't sound like they were coming from a human,  heck, they sounded like metal bars crushing against the ground, again, and again.

Newt swallowed thickly as the sound started to get closer and closer. Within an instance, the boy peeked his head from behind the giant wall only to come across with something hideous both on the inside and the outside. But, Newt was right. It was certainly not human.

It looked like a spider on the outside. A spider with many spikes attached to its body, that merely the imagination of anyone accidentally bumping to those metallic spikes made Newt wince in pain. Yet, even if slime leaked down from its body and covered the floor, what scared Newt the most was the gigantic scorpion tail that hovered merely a couple of centimeters over the rest of its body. The tail that looked so sharp that it would probably tear a person in half.

Suddenly, the creature opened its mouth and revealed its tiny sharp teeth like spikes as his tail started to escalate higher than it used to be just a couple of moments ago. Then, the creature turned towards the blond and let out a pitched scream that almost broke Newt's head before it started to ran up to him.

Newt was about to turn around and ran towards the opposite direction to escape the monstrosity that was after him but before he could, a strong fingers were wrapped around his arm. The blond didn't have time to react, as he was abruptly pushed inside of the vines into a tint space. As he looked besides him, his eyes widened widened.

Relief ran through him, and so did horror but also anxiety. Before he got the chance to speak, the figure shushed him.

"Do not let it see you." Alex whispered in his ear as he turned to stare at the vines, but Newt's heart dropped to his chest once his phone went off.
