"What would you like to have tonight?"

"May I please have a grilled fillet burger." Xavier replied.

"And your girlfriend?" the waiter politely asked.

"Oh no, I'm not his" I was hasty cut off.

"My girlfriend will have a salad."

I frowned as he ordered a salad, it was bad enough he was labelling me as his girlfriend but does he really think I am just going to have a salad?

"Actually, instead of the salad I would like to order a beef burger, chips, and onion rings on the side and FYI I'm not his girlfriend." I glared back at Xavier.

"Oh I'm sorry" the waiter said and quietly left.

"What?" I answered, clearly agitated.

"Nothing, just surprised."

"Well you shouldn't be."

It was silent for awhile before the food had arrived, it smelt like heaven. I consumed the food presented in front of me, using my bare hands.

"Wow."

"Surprised again?"

"That would be an understatement"

"What? Are you waiting for my consent or something? Go on and eat."

He smiled and began eating, I mirrored his smile.

"You have something" he pointed to the side of his mouth.

I attempted to wipe it off but missed it.

"I'll get it" he stood from his seat and wiped it from the corner of my mouth. I flinched with his abrupted movement. He lifted his hands in the air as a sign of surrendering.

"Just helping" he said

"Sorry and thanks"

"What are friends for?"

"Yeah.... Friends." I grinned.

I was once more friend zoned, isn't that hilarious? But why did I care anyway? At least we've established we're friends though.

"So about the project.." Xavier spoke up, diverting my attention back to him.

"Yeah about the project." I continued.

"We can visit my Uncle's medical clinic, and conduct experiments in one of his rooms, he surely will have something for us."

"For once, that's a good idea."

"I don't know whether or not to be offended..."

I shrugged in response.

"Let's go before the sun sets"

"Why? Afraid of the dark?"

"No, I'm afraid of seeing your face in the dark, it looks scary enough in the day"

"Scarily sexy" he added.

"You're so full of yourself" I huffed.

"Well, let's head off now. My motorcycle is nearby."

"Your motorcycle?"

"Yeah, have you ever ridden in one before?"

"No" I lied.

Xavier threw the motorcycle helmet towards me.

"Don't you need one?" I asked.

"You'll need it more than I will"
