~No one's POV~

"Dinah! Wait up!" Camilla yelled out as she quickly tried to grab the things she needed for their last period.

"Hurry Chancho, we have Mr. Smollett for geography and you know how he gets when I'm late. I swear he hates my guts." Dinah whined as Camila caught up to her with a hand full of more pens than she would ever need for one class.

"Maybe he wouldn't hate you if you didn't put super glue on his seat before that one class?" Camila questioned her best friend.

"EXACTLY! That ONE class! It was a one-time thing, and either way I pulled that prank off perfectly, he should've congratulated me." Dinah applauded herself while Camila just rolled her eyes with a small laugh.

The two best friends managed to get to class just in time, though Dinah could have sworn Mr. Smollett was hoping for her to be late so that he could have an actual reason to yell at her. Thirty minutes into the class everyone was assigned work to do.

Camila looked around the room and noticed one of her best friends was missing.

"Where's Ally? I could've sworn she was here all day." Camila asked, nudging Dinah's arm slightly.

"Oh, she went to go talk t-"

"DINAH JANE! Why are you talking in my class? I'm certain you haven't finished your work this quickly. In fact, show me what you've done so far." Mr. Smollett interrupted. This irked Dinah in all the wrong ways, literally everyone was talking and she was sure she was being quiet (something she always isn't).

"For your information, I've actually almost finished ALL of my work, Mr Small dick." Dinah feigned a smile up at the raging teacher. This sent everyone in the room into quiet rounds of laughter. Except for Mr Smollett, of course.

"THAT'S ENOUGH! You just bought yourself an afternoon detention with me, Miss Jane!" Dinah sarcastically thanked him for the detention slip he just so happened to already have at convenience. Jokes on him she thought, because now he is going to have to spend more time than he has to with her and she knew exactly how to piss him off. Dinah looked back towards Camila who mouthed a small 'sorry', which the younger girl easily accepted, before they both got back to work. The final bell rang to signal the end of the school day and every other student quickly scrambled away from the classroom in a rush to get home.

"Do you want me to wait for you?" Camila asked Dinah as they both packed up their belongings.

"Nah, it's okay Chancho, I'll stick this one out alone. I know how much you wanna get home."

"Are you surreee? Your detention is basically my fault anyways, so I feel really bad just leaving you here." Camila double-checked, because it was true; she felt terrible.

"Honestly, it's fine. I'll see you tomorrow okay?" Dinah smiled as she hugged Camila goodbye.

Camila slung her bag over her shoulder and walked out of the classroom. She slipped her phone out from her pocket and was about to unlock it when she tripped over her own two feet and fell right into someone, making the both of them fall.

"Fuck." she heard amongst the sound of books and pens scattering on the floor.

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry, here let me help." Camila bent down to help recollect the books that surrounded her and this poor girl she had most definitely just injured in some way. She looked up for a second to check who it was and instantly became drawn to the emerald eyes staring back at her, but before she realised it, the eyes undertook a scared, almost even terrified, look.

"Umm no, that's okay, thanks." The girl mumbled quietly before quickly gathering her things herself and disappearing from the scene in seconds. Confused as ever Camila got up and dusted herself off, deciding to shove her phone back in her pocket before continuing on her walk towards home.
