Brendon's body was pressed against mine, his fingers slowly drawing invisible designs on my chest. The touch of his skin on mine made me shiver and I knew he loved it.

Eh.

He was softly humming Do I Want To Know by Arctic Monkeys [A.N.: gotta love that song like wow] and his voice was making me slolwly drift to sleep.

I shut my eyes and, as I was just going to fall asleep, Brendon's voice brought me back to a some what normal level of counciousness.

"Ry, I want a kid."

And I, as a fucking idiot, just laughed.

Bravo, dumbass.

"I'm serious, Ryan. I want a kid."

And when I realized he was being absolutely serious, I opened my eyes and stopped laughing. I raised an eyebrow and carefully stated, "you know two men can't have kids, right?"

"Yeah, yeah of course I know, jesus. Men don't get pregnant."

Well, thank God for that.

"I meant, I want to adopt a kid. I want us to be a family."

"But we are a family, Bren! You, me, the boys, you guys are the closest thing to a family I've ever had. I don't get your point."

"I mean that I want an actual family. I want a kid. I want a little human being to call me 'Daddy', I want to be with you and a kid... I just want a family. Do you?"

Did I?

No.

"Sure."

Idiot.

"You don't mean it."

How did he know me so well?

"I... of course I do."

"Ryan, I know you don't."

Got to be convincing there.

"Look, Brendon, I just want you to be happy. If that means adopting a kid then... Let's just adopt a kid. Wherever you'll go, I'll go."

Smooth.

He smiled and kissed my cheek. "Goodnight Ryro."

I kissed him too before answering, "goodnight babe."

Well.

I think I just got myself into something quite huge there.
