I wish our love lasted forever,
I wish our love didn't burn out like the sun on its dimmest day.
I wish our love stayed gentle and kind like my fingers on your skin.

I wish love stayed as beautiful and pure as it was as a child,
   Joyful,
Kind,
   Gentle,
And sweet

I wish our love was like all the happy moments that one could imagine

I wish our love kept burning,

Because all I could think about is what those seven years a part would look like if we were still together.

You the tree and me the moss clinging so closely because your breathed life into me.

In the depths of my soul you rested,
Calm,
  Quiet,
      And broken.

It wasn't until we met again that I realized you were as lost as me,
Like a child who cannot find their mother.

But it felt like you, the mother, was leaving me, the child,

Running as far away from the child (me) even though they desperately needed the mother (you).

I am almost done forgiving  you,
I have learned to love myself,
I have learned that I am no longer the moss, but the flower who breathes life into Itself.

Love is patient, and love is kind.

But I will not wait forever, I have me.

From the deepest part of my soul,
I am calling you to come out now.

I am
Almost done forgiving you, and I hope you are too.

I am ready to give you my heart again.

My love is not immortal.

Please be kind,
Your love.
