The sun peeked through the canopy Of trees

And the icy wind pierced my skin through my thick fur jacket that did little to warm me.

The sun was misleading and deceiving as its rays of yellow light spilled onto the leafy
Ground.

He had on a leather jacket with a gray hoodie underneath
And his hood was up
And a cigarette lit in his hand.

The air smelled like burnt paper and sweet morning dew which made me cough lightly as I inhaled the cancerous scent.

"Could you put that out?"

He took one last drag before tossing it to the ground and putting it out with his foot.

"Sorry sweetheart."

I turned the other way annoyed at his dangerous habit reveling in the smell
Of air without smoke.

But through all that a smile peeked trough my brown tinted lips as he said that one word that made me feel
Like chocolate
On a summer day.

Then I felt arms wrap around my waist from behind

And the smell of sweet cologne
With the faint smell of Marlboro surrounded me.

A warm feeling burst inside of me that made me
feel like chocolate
In a microwave,

When his head nestled in the crook of my neck and got lost in my bunches of coils.

"I'll try and stop...I promise, just for you."

This made me smile

And hold his hands that rested on my waist.

"I'll hold you to it."
