Mark's POV.
As I got out of the bathroom I heard the front doors open and close. His parents must be home.
The elevator door opened and I was met by young boy. I walked past him, he kept quiet just staring.
"Jackson! You have somebody over other than your friends!" Cheered a voice.
"Don't sound so happy just wait till you meet the little prick." Snapped Jackson's grandmother.
Walking closer to the voices and where Jackson sat. I felt the heat rushing to my ears. I don't enjoy meeting new people it's nerve wrecking because I don't know how to act.
I stand there awkwardly waiting for the conversation to dissolve. My eyes focus on the ecstatic woman who I assume is Jackson's mother she has a bright smile the wrinkles showing on the sides of her eyes. Her hair is black, average length, and she is surprisingly muscular.
Jackson sitting there elbows leaning on the marble counter smiling at his mother and grandmother.
"J-Jackson." I try to say my voice coming out croaky and small.
They all jump at my presence. There's attention on me.
"See what did I tell you! The boy is like a vampire! Look at his pale skin, his teeth, and his attitude!" Complained Jackson's grandmother.
"Don't mind her. So tell me about yourself Mark." Mrs. Wang said. Walking towards me and guiding me to sit next to Jackson on the tall stool at the kitchen island.
"My name is Mark Tuan and I'm tutoring Jackson." I said my voice not as loud.
"Aww look at you Marky! Being all shy!" Jackson teased snaking his arm around my waist I could feel my ears burning red with anger but I can't let him have the satisfaction of know that he got a reaction out of me.
"Tuan?" Asked Mrs. Wang.
"Y-yeah." I said stumbling over my words.
"Is your father perhaps Raymond Tuan?" She asked her face showing slight disgust.
Finally I gained courage and replied. I am not here to be interrogated and who my parents are none of her business and should not affect her!
"Sorry Mrs.Wang but I don't find my parents relevant to what I'm here to do, which is tutor you're son." I spoke softly but firmly.
They sat in silence. Mrs.Wang glancing at Jackson's grandmother and the grandmother replying with an 'I told you so' look.
"Well I do suppose I was intruding. And please call me Zhou."
"I'd rather stick to Mrs.Wang." I replied my voice more clear.
All that could be heard in the house were the wind chimes from outside and the warm breeze creating soft whistles thanks to the open windows.
"We should probably get to studying. Bye!" Jackson voiced breaking the tension leading me towards the elevator.
"Why did you speak to my mother that way. I know you don't like me but that's not a reason to disrespect her." Jackson said the minute the elevator doors closed. His tone is different now, he's giving off more anger than joy.
"It's none of her business who my parents are and I find it rude that she even asked. My parents have nothing to do with me tutoring you." I said stepping away from Jackson.
