Confusion and hurt consumed Fallon. Her inner wolf howled in agony and kept yelling out words like; betrayal, hate, death, why, cheater and broken. Tears streamed down her face as she continued to walk out the pack house doors. She wanted to turn and head home but as soon as she tried Nate's words slammed into her. Her feet without her permission took her into the forest and to the edge of the pack territory. She tried to turn back; she tried to call out to Nate to apologize for whatever she did that made him so mad at her. She tried to scream for her parents. But it was all for not. Her body was betrayed by her mind. The alpha order was taken to the extreme because it was forced upon her by her own mate.

Fallon was terrified. She had never been to the boarder before and now to her horror her foot was about to cross it. A cold sweat broke out across her skin as she tried to resist. She fought the order with everything she possessed. But it was no use. She was powerless to the wishes of her mate. As soon as her body crossed the border emptiness came into her chest. She was too young to comprehend what she was feeling. It hurt so badly she actually looked for a physical wound.

Suddenly, her wolf stopped its raving and started speaking instructions. Fallon was now an Exiled. That left her with no option but to try to survive. Her wolf, apologizing for how hard this would be, explained that they had to find a secure shelter because when night fell they would be extremely vulnerable. Listening to her inner self Fallon took off at a sprint. Her young legs took her miles into the unknown. She weaved through the uneven terrain. Fallon wove between trees, went under briars, over fallen logs and even through creeks and rivers. With her wolf's urging she pushed herself harder than she ever had in her entire life. When she could no longer sprint she jogged and when she could no longer jog she walked. By evening her body was on the verge of giving out, yet her tiny legs kept carrying her forward; always making progress. In the day she had probably covered fifty miles. She went farther than she ever thought possible. Her wolf kept praising her. Telling her how amazing she was. How stealthy she was, and how brave she was. Fallon's wolf could not have been more proud of her human host. The little girl had more guts and heart than men and woman twice her age. She knew that they would survive this ordeal. Nay, not just survive but thrive. Working as a team they would be unstoppable.

As the sun set the aching in Fallon's body became intense. She was exhausted and she desperately wanted to rest. Her wolf kept urging her forward though. She kept telling her that they still weren't safe. So she pressed on until their salvation came into view. Before her eyes materialized a massive fallen oak tree; it appeared to have come down in a recent storm. Fallon sat upon it trying to catch her breath. That was a difficult thing to do considering that she was under a strict alpha order of silence. So when a normal person would huff and puff or wheeze, Fallon was only capable of taking small, shallow, silent breaths.

At the urging of her wolf, before she could even fully catch her breath, Fallon was once again on her feet. As she kicked the ground near the fallen tree Fallon found some loose dirt. That got her wolf thinking. Without sparring a second Fallon dropped to her knees and began to dig. Like a wild wolf Fallon proceeded to dig herself a nice den. She even lined it with some wonderfully scented pine boughs. The den was small but cozy and the boughs masked her scent well. She finally had a place to be safe.

Her strength evaporated and Fallon collapsed into a heap within the safety of her den. Her body ached and burned. It was the aching of overuse and the little girl knew she'd be asleep soon. Her final thoughts were of Nate hoping that his shift would go well. She wished she could be there with him, but he no longer wanted her.
