Chapter 54

I get onto the bus and quickly get a seat before getting comfortable. Alexus sits next to me when she gets on, and we put headphones on to watch Fuller House on my laptop. The whole ride, the new girl is staring at us laughing at jokes and while we vlog. Eventually I decide to take a nap, so I close my eyes and drift off to sleep.
"Lilly, wake up. We are here." Alexus whispers in my ear. I sit up and quickly pack my bag before listening to what Ms. Abby has to say. She talks about good sportsmanship and all that stuff before we get off the bus and walk into the competition. After I set up all my stuff, Maddie comes over and helps with my makeup while Melissa helps with my hair. After I'm ready, I sit down and begin to stretch as the other girls get ready for their routines. Eventually I'm able to run my dance, and Ms. Abby sends me, Elliana, Brynn, and kalani backstage. Elliana goes to the side and starts to run her dance while I stand with the other girls.
"Ok Lilly, you have to go and do really good because you need to beat Elliana, and show the moms that even with one day you can be the best." I nod and take off my jacket before being announced onstage.

I walk off stage and get hugs from both of the big girls. As I drink my water, Elliana goes on the stage and I draw my eyes to her.

She did good but I heard her telling Kalani she messed up, which gives me an advantage. The big girls do their solos and they did amazing, and we began our walk back to the dressing room. Ms. Abby hugs me before I walk over to Alexus.
"Lilly, you did great. Great facials, didn't fall, wobble, none of that stuff." I nod as I plug in the crimping iron to help Alexus.
"Elliana, not so great."
Yolanda yells at Abby and we are ushered out of the room. Before the door closes I hear my name.
"Lilly messed up! She had her foot flexed." I hear Yolanda scream and I laugh because it was supposed to be like that. We walk back in and Elliana and her mom go to the other side of the room by themselves. As Alexus' mom does her hair, I get her costume ready and wait to get her prop.
"Lilly come over here." My mom says.
"Yeah mommy?"
"Do you want Alexus to sleep over tonight?"
"Yes!"
"Ok sounds good, go put on your team jacket. You must be freezing." I take it from the chair and walk back over to Alexus who is in costume. After all the minis and elites, besides me are ready we walk backstage. Mackenzie comes over to the minis little huddle, along with Brynn.
"You guys have to do really good to show Abby that you are here to stay. Point your feet, straighten your legs, smile, land all your tricks, spot your turns all that stuff." Brynn says
"But no pressure. None at all!" I say causing everyone to laugh.
Alexus hands me her jacket as I tell her good luck and they walk onstage.

The timing was sort of off and I gasp when the new girl drops her prop. They walk offstage and Peyton, Areana, and Alexus walk over to where we are.
"Wait did you guys see what happened?" Areana says
"With the new girl?" I question.
She nods her head and I say I did.
"What happened?" Alexus asks.
"She dropped her prop."
Both Peyton and Alexus make a face when the new girl walks over to us. The elites are announced, and they do so good! They walk off and we head to the dressing room. Elliana puts her solo costume back on for awards and I sit down at my vanity. We take a lot of pictures of me for Instagram and my moms phone starts buzzing with tags on my account.
