Hidden within

Part 20

Vivian's POV

I missed Pierce. I wanted to go back home. I was waiting for the doctor to clear me to go home. I was currently trying to find Alpha John and also getting some exercise in. My wound was healing okay for a human. I was lost already in this big house. A girl comes to my rescue. She leads me to a large door. She walks right in and I follow her reluctantly. Though I sigh in relief when I recognize Alpha John. I watch as the girl goes over to him and plops into his lap. I watch uncertain if I should leave them or say something. I go to head out when John's voice stops me.

"I never did get your name." I turn to face him and debate on what to do. I say "the names Vivian, and I was wondering if you could point me in the right direction and I'll be on my way." John says "well sit down first. This is my mate Kathy." I sit down in one of the chairs and say "nice to meet you, Miss Kathy. Thanks for patching me up and letting me chill for a while but I need to get home. The mates probably worried sick."

I then go and find my way back to the room I was in. I grab my knife and slipped into the clothes I originally came in. I rewrapped my wound and talk to the doctor. I then thank him and I'm on my way. I head into town and look for a pay phone. I call Pierce and after the second ring he picked up. I wanted to say a million things but I couldn't get anything out of my mouth. This was a bad idea. "I'm sure your mad at me for running, but I wasn't sure if I should call. Even if you'd want me to call. I just wanted to ask if you'd want me to come back to you. I'm so sorry."

I wait and just as I'm about to hang up and cry, I hear him. In a voice I haven't heard Pierce use say "if you actually want to come back I'll welcome you with open arms but there will be some serious changes. You have to have yourself together or appear to have yourself together. If you decide to not come back I'll expect you to have your possession out of the pack house immediately. Those are the conditions, I do want you to come back."

I hang up and think about what Pierce has said. (Play song)

It was evening as I find myself thinking about the ultimatum. I need to grow up and fix things rather than sweep them under the rug. I could go back to Pierce and then everything can be okay. I just have to have myself together which I will. I just need to know how to get back home. I've made my decision.

It was still pretty early when I embarked on my journey home. I had stayed the night in a park with only a knife to protect myself. When daylight broke I was ready to find out how to get home. In honesty I had no idea where I was in the first place. I started out by going into the nearest store that was open. I found a nice looking girl and asked her for directions.

She told me to take a bus and then get on another bus. I thanked her before heading out. The bus ride was uneventful but I did get back into town around mid afternoon. I walked my way to visit the graveyard.

I visited Ms.Anderson. When I was done I walked home. My legs were killing me by now. It was pretty late when I arrived at Pierce's house. The door was open so I slipped in.
