Chapter 9

I sat there frozen, my body unable to move. I could hear someone but my mind wouldn't register who and why I wasn't moving. Gabe had a mate and didn't tell me, how could he play me like that. He lied to me, to Jay and he was willing to mark me for it. What person does that, are they even related, questions began to spiral out of control in my head and anger bubbled up inside of me more than anything

"Abby?"

I blinked at Jay's distraught voice but continued not to talk

"Abby, can you please say something" he said worriedly, rubbing my back

All that clouded my head was Gabe and how he would have used me, destroyed a growing relationship. He had a pack

"Why didn't he tell me" my voice barely audible

"He didn't know" Jay whispered defending his brother

"You're defending him!" I yelled

Gabe lied to me toying with my feelings and how Jay is taking his side, I couldn't hold it in any longer. I stomped away pissed at how complicated my life has become, my body started to shake and my hands clenched into tight fists. I felt my body burn up and my bones started to ache and my muscles tensed, I whimpered at the pain coarsing through my body and I dropped to the ground shaking

It was like something set me on fire and my body was being attacked from the inside out, the pain was unbearable and I thrashed around on the ground half unconcious. I heard the pleas from Jay and several others around me but my mind was focused on the pain. A voice inside of me was telling me to calm down which I turned down without hesitation. My back hunched and i felt my bones cracking, I felt the shift in my body as everything cracked and stretched, my hands were shaking violently and when I manged to open my eyes briefly I blacked out, everything in me was changing

My eyes fell open on their own accord but when I tried to get up I fell on something soft. I heard the fall, I heard myself falling.  My eyes saw every detail, a headache was forming and when I whipped my head around at the sound of a croak, I groaned and fell back to the soft floor. Everything around me and my hearing heard the flutter of bees, the voices too far away, people's breathing. I brought my hand up but what I saw was something else, I saw a white paw, When I managed to focus on the paw I was staring at I realized it was my own. I scanned myself and what I saw was pure white fur, stammering back I heard a howl in front of me. I snapped my head up to see a black wolf staring lovingly at me, Jay. I know those beautiful eyes anywhere

"Relax Abby"

I panicked, Jay's voice boomed in my head and I flinched shocked

"What happened?"

"You shifted" he purred

I shifted. The paws. The fur. The senses. How could I possibly shift, how did this happen. This is physically impossible

The thought finally registered me and I fell backwards on the ground but not before Jay swiftly lept behind me in a graceful movement. I landed on his wolf and instantly felt the attraction. He licked my nuzzle and I smiled at him. I tried getting up and moved my legs but failed miserable. I howled in protest. I felt Jay's wolf nuzzling my neck and I purred, he gestured me to watch him and I did. His steps were graceful and I don't know how he did it. I copied his action and found it intriguing with everything I did in my wolf form

"You're doing well"  A voice rang through my head

"Who is that?" I asked curious
