this wasn't supposed to happen

I spotted (Y/n) sitting on the bench. Then she seen me and have me a big grin. I turned my head to avoid her.

I must have been blushing if my brother said, "Why the blushing, huh?" I wanted to punch him, yes I did.

Natsuya looked at (Y/n) and said, "Aw! My little bro has a crush. That's so cute."

"I do not," I said defensively.

Natsuya leaned in closer to me. "Are you sure you don't? I mean it's pretty obvious."

I turned my head away from him. "Well, I try and give her the cold shoulder everytime but she keeps on talking to me."

"Well, Ikuya, maybe you need friends. Haha," Natsuya said.

I didn't appreciate how he put it. But maybe I do like (Y/n)? I can't, can I?

"Swimmers to the starting block."

You stepped up to the diving block to do 50 free and pulled your goggles over your eyes.

You set yourself in position to dive.

The whistle blew and you swiftly dived into the water. Picking your arm up and turning to take a breath, it was rythmic. When finishing a length, the flip was smooth and practise paid off.

Your hands touched the wall and you took your goggles off. You seen that you made second, which was good enough for your standards.

"Swimmers out!"

You set your swimming cap and goggles next to the diving block. The person next to you gave out their hand and you gave it a high-five. "Good swim."

While getting out of the water, you were unaware and couldn't remember that you put it there, your foot slipped on the cap and goggles. Your head bashed onto the edge of the pool and you sank into the deep end.

"No!!" I shouted. There was a lot of blood. Too much. I felt sick.

Her brother, Aoki, ran towards her lane and dived in to save her.

"Ikuya. Let's go," Natsuya told me as he grabbed my hand and got up. I guess he could tell that I felt sick.

I don't want to go because I don't want to leave her.

Natsuya pulled at my hand and made me get up. "Come on. You can visit her tomorrow."

I was too dazed when we left. Then I finally realized I loved (Y/n) and I couldn't lose her.

Ahahaha.
This really isn't funny.
But meh,
Plot twist,
what will happen to the reader and Ikuya??
Will the relationship between them ever get better?
...will (Y/n) even know who he is?
