As the doctors wheel me into the emergency room, I fade in and out of consciousness. Roman holds my hand until it's time to let me go. Roman argues with the doctor.
"She needs me, I'm suppose to be there with her." Roman says trying to convince the doctor to let him in with me
" The more you keep me out here the more time is being wasted to save her and her baby's life.Look I'm sorry I can't let you in, the things you may see in there, may be engraved in your memory forever." The doctor explains
"Come on Ro, she's a survivor. She's going to make it." Dean says putting a hand on Roman’s shoulder
" I love you baby just hang on for you and Laith. Hang on for us" Roman says as his hands press up against the room's door
"I'll do the best I can to save both of them." The doctor says going in between the doors into the room I was in
"Come on, lets go take a seat." Dean says walking with Roman a few feet away from the room
"If I lose her....." Roman says putting his index finger on one eye and his thumb on another, trying to stop tears from coming out
"You're not going to lose her. You said she was the strongest person you know, believe in her to make it through with that little boy." Dean says putting his arm around the back of Roman's neck
" It just sucks I can't be with her. The first few months of her pregnancy I was an ass hole, I just wish I was as good to her as she was to me. Now being faced with this, I don't know what my life would be like without her." Roman says crying
"And you don't have to wonder because she is going to make it through." Dean says
As Dean comforts Roman a few minutes later the doctor walks out.
Roman practically jumps out his seat.
"Is she okay? How is the baby?" Roman eagerly asks
" She lost a lot of blood and her body is close to shutting down, which means the baby is losing oxygen. If we don't do an emergency c-section she may lose the baby but if we do the c-section she will lose more blood and will shut down permanently. The choice is in your hands" The doctor explains
"What?" Roman says backing up against the wall
" I don't know what to say, I don't know what to do" Roman says panicking
One of the nurses comes out the room and tells the doctor that I have regained consciousness.The doctor came inside, as did Roman while Dean waited out.
"Whatever you do, save our baby. Even if that means my life, I lived my life, I want my little boy to have to same opportunity." I say crying as tear drops go down to my ear
"I'm not gonna lose you. I can't lose you." Roman says hugging me as he cries
"Roman I love you and I know you're going to be an amazing father to this little boy. Please save him." I say rubbing his head
"I love you." Roman say hugging me for 15 seconds then storming outside
The doctor follows.
"I know this is tough for you....." The doctor says before Roman cuts him off
"Do it. Just do it. Save our little boy but please try to save them both." Roman says
"I'll do my very best." The doctor says to Roman as he heads back the the room
After 4 and a half hours of surgery and many cups of Coffee the Doctor comes out with news on me and the baby's status.
"Well you have a very healthy baby boy. And I've never seen that much blood in my life but your fiancee is a fighter, she made it through but she is scheduled for a blood transfusion soon." The doctor says
"Thank you!!!" Roman says while hugging the doctor "Do I get to see her?"
"Let her get her rest. She needs it." The doctor says
"Can I see my son?" Roman asks
"Yea we just checked him out. He's in the baby's room. She said you guys agreed on the name Laith" The Doctor points to the direction
" We did because he use to always paw his little hands and feet on her stomach, and we use to always see his little paw poking out like a little lion. By the way Thank you doc" Roman says while walking with Dean to the direction
"My pleasure, enjoy your son."The doctor says
Roman and Dean get to the front of the baby's room and through the glass they look for Laiths name. They see him in the middle or a girl named Hannah and a boy named Hayden. Roman had the biggest smile I think Dean ever seen when he saw Laith yawn.
"Your a father to a son bro." Dean says patting Romans back
"I have a son. I HAVE A SON!! I'm a father…..again!!! " Roman says hugging Dean "Thank you man for really being here for me. I really appreciate it and love you." Romans say choking up, replaying everything that happened up to that moment
"Don't mention it.I love you too bro. Now lets go meet your son." Deans says
" And lets go see your god son." Roman responds
"Are you serious?" Dean says in excitement
"I mean who else is there " Roman says
"Aww man" Dean says hugging Roman
They both go in where the nurse brings baby Laith to Roman. He was born 7 pounds and 3 ounces. Roman cradled Laith in his arms and had the deepest glare in his eyes.
"Hey Laith!! Its your daddy." Roman says
Laith had Roman’s eyes and smile, while also having my big head.
“You get your looks from daddy but head from your mother. Sorry about that bud” Roman says chuckling
“Speaking of your mother. She is taking time to get better for us but I promise she will have you in her arms in no time and she would fall in love all over again like I Am right now.” Roman says telling Laith while kissing him on the forehead
“Okay you had your time. Can I hold my god son now.” Dean says jokingly
“Alright, Alright.” Roman says passing Laith to Dean
“He’s a mirror of his dad. Hey Laith!! It’s uncle….I guess God Father Dean!!” Dean says rocking him back and forth
After Dean gives Laith back to Roman and goes to get coffee for the both of them.
Leone was in recovery and Laith was born a healthy baby boy, so far things were looking up for the Reigns family.
