It was the week of Roman's birthday. I know he said he didn't want anything because he had everything but I wanted to get him something anyways. The problem was I didn't know what to get him. After his big win at Wrestlemania, Roman appeared on Raw and Smackdown mostly but committed himself to only a few house shows to spend more time with me since I was very close to my due date. It was on a saturday, Roman and Dean went out to buy blue paint to paint the baby's room after I told Roman to paint it two months ago but as usual never listens to me. I was relaxing at home when I heard a knock on the door. I went to go see who it was and to my surprise it was Seth. His face looked like it hadn't been shaved and he looked like he hadn't slept in a while but I wasn't the one to tell him that.
"Hey Seth" I say opening the door
"Hey Leone, how are you?" Seth asks
"I'm fine. Was Roman expecting you?" I ask
"Oh, that's why Im here. I was hoping to see him while I was in town." He says inviting himself in
" Oh he left an hour ago with Dean to go get paint to paint the baby room. He will probably be here soon." I say
" Oh, so I'll wait." He says sitting on the couch
"Would you like anything to drink or eat?" I ask
"Oh no thank you. Although I heard you throw down a mean bake zitti" He chuckles
"You got that right" I say laughing
" I know Roman's birthday is coming up. You're going to make that for him or are you guys going out to eat?" He asks
"Ummmmm.....actually I don't really know. I don't even know what I'm going to get him." I reply
"Oh you didn't get him a gift yet?" He says surprised
" He said he didn't want anything but I still want to get him something you know. The thing is I have no clue what to get." I answer
" I have an idea. There's a Jewelry shop we use to pass by in manhattan every time we would come to New York and he would always point that this specific gold encrusted watch he wanted," He says
"Do you think it's still there?" I ask
" We won't know unless we find out. Lets go. We'll be back before they get here, I promise." He says jumping up
I was a little startled at his enthusiasm but thinking nothing by it I decided why not. I left a note for Roman telling him, I went out with Seth in search for a present and that I'll be back.We hopped in his car and started to drive. As minutes became hours I started to worry, after all manhattan wasn't that far from my house.
"Uhh..Seth. We've been driving for two hours now, unless you thought of this as a shortcut or haven't been around New York that many times, we are no where near manhattan." I say trying not to get worked up over nothing
"I know" He says
"Then let me drive, after all I lived here all myl ife, I should know my way around."
" Nah it's okay. I got a better place we can go. " He says continuing to drive
" If we're not going to that place then just drop me home. I have to help Roman paint the baby room." I say
After I say that, he stops the car abruptly where my body jerks forward.
"What the hell Seth?" I say to him
"Don't you ever mention his name around me again." He screams, quickly turning red
"Seth you're scaring me." I say beginning to get frightened
