"Ahhhhh!!" I scream in agony
Keanu had stepped out the room to see what all the fuss was about, with Alani not to far behind him.
"What happened?" He asks worriedly "Can someone please tell me what happened?" Nobody answered him because they didn't know themselves.
"Leone!! Are you okay?" Alani says running towards me
"Alani,she'll be fine, lets go back to the room okay." Melissa says taking Alani away
"Here drink this. My grandmother drank this tea when she was pregnant with my mother for her stomach pains, and my mother did it with me, and I did it with Roman." Ruby says sitting me up and placing the cup in my mouth
After a few minutes, the pain dissolved and I had calmed down.
"How are you feeling?" Ruby asks me
"Better.Thank you. I shall go now." I say getting up
"No! in your condition you need to rest. Stay here." Ruby says
" I don't stay where I'm not wanted. I knew coming here would have it's perks but I'm not going to risk me losing my baby to prove to you that I'm not the girl you think I am but if you would get to know me you would see that. After this you don't have to hear from me again." I say grabbing my bag and heading out the door
As I head close to the door, I see Roman approaching me in which I hold my arms out.
"I'm not going with you. You're going to stay here and work things out." I say to him
"Last time I checked I make my own decisions and I'm coming with you. You can't fly by yourself." He says
"Then I guess we're going to be on different planes because I am not going with you. Roman you haven't seen your family in years and the first sign of something making you uncomfortable you run away. No More!!. This may be your final chance to make things right and heel from the wounds you've hold on to for so long to. Please if not for you, do it for our son or daughter." I explain
"Are you sure your going to be alright?" He asks
"I'll be fine." I say
" I love you, you know that." He says cupping my face with his hands
"I love you too" I say before he kisses me
"Keanu would you mind dropping Leone to the airport?" He asks Keanu
"Sure. Whenever you're ready." Keanu says while grabbing the keys and heading out the door as me and Roman hug each other
We walk outside with his arm around mine and my arm around his waist, but not before Melissa calls my name.
"Leone!! Can I speak to you for a moment." Melissa asks
"Ummm....Sure" I say looking at Roman before going towards here
"I know since you're with Roman now you're going to be around Alani a lot, but I swear if she tells me you speak to her some type of way ir you laid a hand on her, you're going to have to deal with me." She says crossing her arms
"Alani is a good kid, I doubt we will have that problem and besides it's not my place to do so. So if you'll excuse me...." I say turning my back towards her, walking.
"This is not over." She says as I stop dead in my tracks
"Oh no, it's as over as you and Roman being over. And don't think I forgot about that slap either, next time you won't be so lucky." I say while giving her that "Don't fuck with me " face
After I say my goodbyes, Keanu drops me off to the airport and I hop on a flight to New York. When I got home, all I thought about was sleep and more sleep and not thinking about the stress I constantly go through, but before I did all of that I called Roman to tell him I was home. After getting off the phone with Roman, my phone immediately rang right after.
I picked it up.
"Hello?" I ask
"Huuuuuu" The person grunts
"Hello? Can I help you?" I ask
Click. The person hung up the phone. I didn't think anything by it because there were a lot of people who called that had dialed the wrong number, that was no exception. I wished I had picked up on the clues then and there to prevent what was going to happen next.
