Chapter 28

3rd person   P. O. V.
(Y/n) walked back to her room slowly, gripping tightly onto her stuff  taking small steps just in case he were to call her back.
She stepped into her room. The door squeaked open and dust flew around her in a haze. The lights were off and the moonlight shone through the singular window atop her bed. She took a step in and the dust settled all around her. The door closed behind her and she stood in the center of her room, alone, crying while the man she thought she loved was doing the same.
But she'd never know that.

(Y/n) didn't talk.
She didn't smile.
She did her training.
She killed enemies.
She ate.
She slept.
And the next day she would do it all again.

All of (y/n) comrades realized her state of depression and they all tried to make her happier, Sasha by offering a bite of food, armin by offering to read to her,  connie by telling jokes of Sasha, eren by joking about jean, and jean offering his shoulder to her if she wanted to talk, but (y/n) was unfazed by all attempts. And when it came time to leave for another expedition, she still didn't speak a word.

"Do all troops have gas and swords?"  Erwin asked.
"Yes" they all responded. Erwin was determined to get to the tree where they found the soldiers diary, at any cost.
The troops kept formation up until the trees, abnormal titans started approaching and (y/n) was the first to go fight

(Y/n)   P. O. V.
"I'll take these out"
"(Y/n) wait , that's too many for just one person"
"I can handle it"
I rode towards the 4 abnormal titans wailing their arms around and coming straight towards us.
"Shit" I thought as I realized I didn't have a lot of gas, "I forgot to check"
I got close to the titans and decided to take them closer to the trees in order to get up higher without relying completely on my gas.  I swung off my horse and up onto the tree branches , I swung around one and came up to the side of a titan, twirling my body and pulling out one of my remaining swords I sliced at its neck and killed it, I flew backwards to another tree and landed roughly hurting my ankle but 3 more titans remained. All abnormal, one crawling around the bases of the trees and the two others staring wide eyed following my every move. I decided to take out the two standing and watching me as I realized that they could possibly fall into if the one on the floor and keeping it pinned while I finished the job. I jumped off the tree and at the last minute swung around the first titan and lined myself up to make a clean cut on the nape of the neck, after the first one I swung back around some branches and landed behind the titan going to kill it. As the second titan fell I saw no evidence of the 4th abnormal titan from the ground,
"So you were crushed" I said to myself.
I looked around to make sure the 4th titan was killed but as I came up to the head of it sticking out from under neath the other titans I saw something gleaming.
"What..."
I heard Moans from the titan.
"Your... crying?"
The titan looked at me in the eyes and started to open its mouth , I put my hand onto my sword in case it was about to jump ,but as I did this the titan said something, "what?..." I asked
"Soo "
"Rr"
"Ry"
"Sorry?!" I asked it
"Sorry" it said as another tear escaped its eye.
"Wha... you can talk?" I asked awestruck at the idea
"Yyy.... eeuu...sss"
"Yes?!"
"Yes"
"But, but , no, your a titan, your a murderer!"
"Your apology doesn't bring back my friends!"I screamed tears starting to run down my eyes.
"Ali..."
"Alive" it said
"Who's alive?!"
"Mm"
"Marco?!" I asked
"Mee"
"Me" the titan said.
