"Okay, are you guys ready?" Herc and I check to make sure everyone's ties are straight,

"Are you sure you want us to meet your family?" Alex was sweating beads,

"Babe, don't be nervous they'll love you," I kiss him before smacking his butt, "Now, into the care, we wanna make a good impression!" I shoo them out the door, watching with a small smile as they all tripped over their feet,

~

"Come in! Come in!" We were greeted at the door by my younger sister. She pulled me to the side, "You're so lucky, all your boyfriends are hot." I laugh,

"I know!" I wag my brows and she makes a disgusted face, before stomping off, "Okay, boys go see if my mom needs any help in the kitchen, I know my dad's in the living room watching his game." I smile, kissing each of them as I dismiss them toward the kitchen. "Hey, daddy!"

~

"Okay, I don't mean to sound rude or ignorant but what exactly is this?" My dad laughs as he motions towards the end of the table where I and the boys sat.

"We're polyamorous-"

"Which means it is a consensual relationship between more than two people." My sister finishes and I shot her a quick smile, silencing thanking her.

"Well, how does it work? Do you all live together?"

"Yes,"

"But Y/N/N's apartment is so small-"

"We moved in my home," Laf interrupts, "It took awhile to get Y/N to agree to move in but eventually she did!"

"Oh, how many bedrooms is it?" My sister asked and I could see the wheels spinning in her head,

"Six, three bathrooms, why?" John laughs as he cuts into his steak,

"Just wondering...do all sleep until the same bed?"

"Avery!" My mom scolds but I wave her off,

"It's okay mom and yes we all do sleep in the same bed,"

"So how does it work?"

"What do you mean?" Alex asks, he knew that exactly what my dad meant he just wanted to hear him say it,

"Like you know," My dad coughed, clasping his hands,

"Gross dad, gross!" My sister shakes her head,

"Joshua!" My mom slaps my dad's chest, and the look on her face is one of sympathy.

"Well," Herc laughs, wiping his mouth. "That was interesting." We all laugh, before continuing to eat,

"I have more questions..."

"Keep them, pg13 Joshua." My mom laughed nodding over toward my sister.

"Okay, okay, how did you meet?"

"Well, Alex and I knew each other first," Laf smiled, "I was the new exchange student and he took me under his wing and then we met Herc and John our second semester..."

"When did you meet Y/N?" My dad sighed and I shot him a glare,

"Well, we met Y/N our second semester also," Johns started and my cheeks begin to heat up,

"Yeah, it was May and she had locked herself out of her dorm, we found her standing there in her towel," Alex continues,

"We offered to bring her to our dorm and gave her some of John's clothes," Herc finishes and Laf laughs at the story, that was the pg13 version of the story for sure.

"What's so funny Lafayette?" My father asks, everyone's attention directed to the now blushing Frenchman.

"Uh, nothing, sir." He smiles a charming smile and me and the boys raise our brows at him,

"Anyway, since you've all graduated college, boys, what do you plan on doing?"

"I want to open my own clothing shop," I stand up, twirling,

"He made this,"

"Wow! Can you make me one?"

"I'll need your measurements!" Herc beams,

"I'm a painter, I want my work in every gallery in New York." My father nodded,

"I've seen some of your work, didn't you paint that?" I had sent my parents a painting of John's a couple months back, turning we find the painting of the sea, a full moon in the sky hanging over the fireplace,

"Yes sir," he smiles sheepishly,

"I have a friend, I could give you his number if you're interested."

John nodded thanking him as he handed my dad his phone, "I'm into cooking, I want my own restaurant." Laf added, "I think I am an excellent cook." He brags and my mother laughs, "Not nearly as excellent as you." He covers up,

"And I went into law," Alex smiled,

"I've heard of some of your cases, I could use a good lawyer too," Alex's cheeks lit up at the compliment,

"I'd be honored to be your lawyer, sir!"

—-

"Okay mom we should start heading back it's an hour drive." My mother frowns as I close the book of baby pictures,

"But it's only," She looks over at the clock frowning when she noticed it was 11 pm, "Okay, I guess." We say our goodbyes, everyone promising to reach out to the other one soon, my dad threatening to kill each of them if any of them dare to hurt me, normal dad things.

"So how did you think it went?" I ask the boys as I started the car, smiling at Laf, Alex, and John in the back, Herc sitting in the front,

"Oh my god, your dad loves me, I know he does!" Alex beamed, recalling the conversation he and my dad had about him being his lawyer,

"Avery gave me her measurements and said something about a school dance in two months-"

"Herc, you don't have to!" I try but he shakes his head,

"I can't let her down!"

"I taught your mom a few tricks in the kitchen," Laf speaks up,

"Like?"

"Knife cuts, a few spice combinations." He shrugs,

"Your sister gave me a selfie, she asked me to paint it for her,"

"I'm going to kill her," They laugh as I shake my head,

"I think she likes me though," John frowned and I nodded,

"Trust me...she does." They all erupt in laughter again, John still frowning.

"That's wrong. Just wrong!"
