Ashley lives with her aunt, because her mom died in a car crash, and her dad left after that. She works for her own money because her aunt is never there. She works during the days and runs during the nights. She also lives in a beat up house next to Jake.
Jake lives with his beat up dad. His mom died from cancer, and they live in a small, beat up house, because they have no other money. His dad always drinks and he's the one who has to go out and work after school. Jake is also popular. They sometimes talk. Jake works during the days and plays basketball during the nights.
