"But I won't. I promise" Jackson swore. A promise he could not keep.
As the teacher called out the names Yugyeom and I made eye contact I could tell he hoped we were partnered up together, I did too. It's always hard when we are partnered with strangers because we always ended up doing all the work.
I zoned out. Only hearing a few of the pairs.
"Min Yoongi and Jung Hoseok."
"Byun Baekhyun and Park Chanyeol."
"Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin."
"Kim Yugyeom" Yugyeom and I smiled at each other "and Kunpimook Bhuwakul."
"It's BamBam!"BamBam grumbled.
I saw Yugyeom's shocked expression as he got up and pulled the strip of paper out of the box. Then made his way to his partner.
Everybody was partnered up but Jackson, Mina, Hanbin, and I.
Oh god I don't want neither Mina or Jackson!
I guess I could deal with Hanbin. I don't know him too well. But I haven't heard anything bad about him. He plays for our Rugby team and also swims. And I may have developed a small crush on him ever since I saw him swim.
"Jackson Wang and Kim Hanbin."
Wait that means I'm being partnered with Mina. Oh hell no! "Excuse me sir." The teacher looked up.
"I don't feel comfortable being paired with Mina." I said quietly.
"And why is that?" The instructor asked.
"Cause she's a hoe." I whispered only to myself. "Because I would rather work alone than work with someone who will have me do all the work and still receive credit."
"It's not your choice Mark." The teacher spoke sternly.
"I wouldn't mind partnering with Mina." Hanbin spoke. I looked at him and he winked.
I looked at him in shock. He gives me a small nod with a warm smile.
"Okay. Jackson you're paired with Mark. Hanbin with Mina. No more complaints."
After the teacher explained the project more, he teacher gave us extra class time to discuss our projects. Jackson was sleeping on his desk so I went to thank Hanbin.
"Hey. Th-thank you." I spoke gently.
"No problem. No one wants her as a partner." He chuckled.
"But now I have to be with Jackson." I grumbled.
"He's not a bad guy. He'll do his share of his project, I promise." Hanbin said smiling.
"What about you. How are you going to handle that?" I inquired.
"I'll make her do all the work for once. I have no problem failing. I already passed Social Studies I just didn't want an extra study hall." He spoke.
"Really? How? I never knew you were smart." I stopped myself. "Sorry that came out rude." I blushed embarrassed.
"No it's okay." He chuckled. "One day you could repay the favor."
"I'd like that." I said looking down while biting my lip. Why did I say that it's not like he asked me out or anything!
"Aye! What do you think your doing talking to my partner!" Mina snapped.
"Sorry I'll go." I leaned up from the desk and made my way to Jackson.
I reached down and flicked his head. "Jaebum stop!" Jackson complained.
"It's not Jaebum it's your partner." I spoke. For some reason Jackson makes me more confident I'm usually very shy to voice my opinions but Jackson makes me angry to the point where my shyness goes away.
My brain focused back into the conversation. Jackson was now looking up.
"This is going to be fun." Jackson smirked.
He's up to something.
