Midnight Thoughts

My reality

I opened my favorite book and started reading,

slowly i felt everything around me disappearing.

I have entered another dimension,

where everything is carved to perfection.

I started roaming around,

truly mesmerized with what i found.

A place where i can finally feel some peace,

and for a long time i can finally walk with ease.

I prayed for this walk to never end.

I prayed that i don't have to go back to the world that's broken and bent.

But then in life nothing can last forever,

meaning all of these wonderful things will soon be over.

I took one last glance at this fantasy,

and closed the book to face my reality.
