Chapter 24|| Mending love

I wasn't entirely ignoring Jordan . I was trying to figure out if I'm going believe him or not, but still we're not dating so...

It was Friday which means we had the game tonight. Jordan told me that he would be driving himself to the game and I said I'll drive alone too. So we wouldn't see each other before the game. Which gave me time to think

The cheer squad has been practicing non stop for the past week on this routine and the newbies have gotten a hang of it

We were on the field stretching when the boys came out of the locker room, both Jay and Chad walking proudly out on the field, pssh like they have a chance

I rolled my eyes and tried to focus on the squad. " Alright guys , tonight we'll be special, a few colleges have already contacted me , so we bring our 'A' game and show them what we have"

Our routine was quite difficult, showing off all the aspects and potential of our team from all the camps and workshops we've attended which wouldn't go in vain.

We practice, cried, lost weight, shed blood and sweat, and tonight was the night​ we become​ Victor's

After practice I stayed back to help some of the newbies get routine parts or some acrobats which they weren't getting in.

Once done I began to pack up, "Hey" I turned around slowly thinking if I did it that way he would disappear, but he didn't

"Hi Jay" I tried to sound nice I really did. "I'm sorry about the other day with everything, I should be happy for you and what's his name"

"Where not dating Jay" I lifted my duffel bag over my shoulders "But that doesn't mean I'm giving you a chance, you have done enough damage, I will still be there for Ocean​ though"

"I understand Brittany, I know I shouldn't have done those things to you, and things could have been different and I'm sorry" He ran his fingers through his sweaty hair. I have to admit Jay still looks devisly handsome

"Plus, I'm seeing someone, nothing like Ocean's mom, way different" He smiled and I smiled too, after all he deserves someone who will treat him good

"I'm happy for you , I hope she treats you and Ocean good" I punched him lightly on his shoulder and​  he laughed "Yea, I hope we can be friends though, despite whatever happened in the past"

"Yes we can" I told him before turning around and waving him later, there was an immediate relief off my shoulders and the air felt lighter

I went into the locker room and took a bath before grabbing my bag and heading home

I felt weird not being able to spend time with Jordan , I know he was being honest Monday but something inside me tells me otherwise and it was killing me

I was planning on talking to him after the game depending on how it goes

Pulling into my driveway I turned my ignition off I grabbed my school bag and duffel Before I  got out of the car and locking it

I opened the door and went into the kitchen, and there stood Karen and Dad in a heated conversation, when I walked in they stopped

My father and I haven't talked​ that much for a while, but the way they were both looking at me suggests otherwise

"Brittany we need to talk to you " Karen came up to me and placed
Her hand on my back and guided me to the family room

Sitting down on the couch they watched me "This might come to a surprise to you but your father and I are getting married, we wanted to wait a little bit but we thought it was best to let you know"
