P R O L O G U E

it was 8 worlds filled with greed. oh how prosper they used to be when they never knew of the rule that they could conquer another planet. happiness spread everywhere and for a long period of time, no one was aware of the emotion 'fear'. it was until the most recent board meeting when they had lost it all. hope, love and happiness. no one ever knew that going through the law book created by the higher ups could've ever caused this much hate and utter chaos.

and so, the higher ups took it into their hands to solve all problems by creating a group of 8 to restore the peace that was lost.

"namjoon, why is everyone so greedy? they have a whole planet by themselves and they fight for more? what nonsense." i said as i looked up at the boy who just stared ahead. he was the smartest of us all and put a strong image on the outside but is a gentle, kind soul on the inside.

"because we're human, areum." he said, his eyes never looking sideways, always forward. "i never knew it was a sin to be human." i replied, laying my head on his shoulder as he just simply smiled blankly.

what was going to happen to the eight of us? i wanted to ask him but i realized that he might've wanted to ask me the same question to me. he was our leader, the person we all relied on, and so he was quite pressured, i knew but laying on his shoulder while watching the sunset on a cliff gives me such a peaceful ambiance that i'd like time to freeze right here, right at this moment.
