Philip got nervous, he was the one who was presenting the second project. Eacker would present the first one about the water. Philip waited, each student had a good point when it came to making the world a better place and how they bonded. Philip nervously glanced around the room, he just hoped he wouldn't mess up or sound like an idiot. Eacker looked over at him, placing a hand on his shoulder. Philip looked back at him.
"We'll do fine. You'll do fine." Eacker said, trying to calm him. Philip nodded quickly, still nervous.
"You'll do wonderful. You're always wonderful." he gave him a loving smile. Philip immediately blushed.
"And now, George Eacker and Philip Hamilton." everyone scoffed and was talking about them. They thought it was absolutely IMPOSSIBLE for Eacker and Philip to bond, they were like rivals and enemies; or were supposed to be. Philip was never the one to be nervous, he didn't know what his problem was. He took his papers he wrote about them, trying not to shake so much. Eacker grabbed the papers about the waters. They walked over to the chalkboard, facing the class. Of the course, the class didn't care. Everyone just wanted to get on with their lives. Eacker looked at the papers they worked on.
"The water is not as unlimited as you think. Every day, more of humanity is polluting these waters. Lakes, oceans, rivers, streams, any water source. Even the rain isn't that healthy anymore. People do not see the importance, it is placed on Earth for a reason. It gives us food resources we need to survive. You may think there are other food resources we could just use. There are people we don't even know about stranded that are trying to survive and only have the waters to rely on. It not only damages the water, but the sea life. As for the water, people rely on this water to survive and people could die of thirst. We need to keep the waters clean, it is now polluted, but we need to focus on keeping it less polluted.(and it went on and on I'm lazy asf fam)" the students were forced to clap, it was something they had to do. Philip scanned his eyes over what he wrote, Eacker just realized the second project. He totally forgot. How they bonded. Philip took a deep breath, trembling, now. Eacker couldn't do anything about it, though. Not now.
"I-I..." he blinked a couple of times. No. He was a strong, inspiring poet. He can do this.
"Not everyone is going to like you in this world. You have to accept that fact. There are truly some good people out there, though. As for the ones you think hate you to the core... heh, you have no idea why some people are like this... but... in this world, we really need to stick together. We are all human, the only thing we can do is be there for each other in a dark time like this. You don't know everyone's past, you don't know what people are going through. People have it worse than some others. People have layers. They have a hard shell. It takes time to realize who those people really are. Mostly a lot of people were raised this way or are misunderstood. Like I said before, we need to be there for each other; because in dark times, when no one else is there for you, they may be the only one left. Through all those layers, is another side of someone you never knew about. Maybe it was something that changed them. Maybe it's just them. It's really... a cry for help. Needing someone to be there for them. It was hard bonding, it was irritating, annoying. You know what's the best kind of friendship, though? Loyalty. Loyalty is the best." Philip exhaled, finally done. Eacker's eyes were wide, just staring at the ground. Everyone were forced to clap again. Some people were talking about them and were gossiping because they never thought Philip and Eacker would ever bond. The whole time in class, Eacker was zoning out. Not at all paying attention. When the school bell rang, Philip was nervous as hell. The project was over, they could stop seeing each other now. Everything can go back to the way it was. Eacker always torturing him. Making fun of him. He didn't want it to stop, though. He didn't want everything to go back to the way it was. He didn't realize how much he loved the way everything was when they were working together. He was nervous about what Eacker would have to say. He grabbed his things, quickly walking out of the classroom. Eacker left his things there, immediately getting up and quickly walking after him, too. Philip's thoughts were blank, he just really said that. Eacker grabbed his arm, staring into his eyes.
"Oh... heh... hey... Eacker... n-nice j-job on the project, heh..." Philip gave him a nervous smile.
"Philip... you scoundrel." Eacker pulled him close and kissed him passionately. Philip's eyes widened, blushing red. It didn't even bother them that students were staring while walking by, even disgusted. Eacker pulled away.
"... it's about damn time you kissed me." Philip smiled, wrapping his arms around his neck and kissing him, again.
