I heaved a sigh, "Did Sofia and Julian tell you?"
Nanlaki ang kanyang mga mata sa gulat ngunit tumango rin. Ang dalawang iyon talaga. Hindi nakakaintindi ng alone time, puro babe time ang alam!
I eyed him. He was coyly waiting for my reaction.
What should I do now? Hindi ba parang ang bastos naman kung itataboy ko siya. Pero hindi ba't bastos din ang pagsunod niya sa akin? May makukuha talaga sa akin ang dalawang iyon pagbalik ko! Binibigyan pa nila ako ng sakit ng ulo.
"I'm sorry. Sabi kasi nila you've been receiving death threats kaya inutusan nila akong bantayan ka." He explained after a beat of silence.
Death threats? Ano ako politiko? They could've thought of other rational reasons. And as for this guy, he could've seen through their lies!
"That was such a lame excuse. I thought you're better than that." I mocked.
Lumapit ito sa akin, "Well, I couldn't afford to pass up this opportunity to be alone with you."
Blood rushed to my cheeks. I was left speechless with his hirit. He smirked after seeing how it affected it me. I came here for peace of mind for Pete's sake! Bakit pa sumunod ang isang ito upang guluhin ako?
"You..." I glared at him.
He checked his wrist watch, ignoring the look I was giving him.
"Lunch time's over." he held my wrist, "Balik road trip na tayo." and with that he pulled me out of the aesthetically pleasing café.
I stared at his broad back, "Donny, bitiwan mo nga ako." I tried to yank my wrist away but he was, no doubt, stronger than I am.
Pareho silang tatlo. They all can't comprehend what alone time means! He suddenly took charge of my supposed soul searching, urging me to ride with him for the rest of the day.
I gasped in awe as my eyes landed on his black Lamborghini. It glistened under the glaring sun. Mukhang bago pa ito dahil wala pa itong plaka.
"Wow." I can't help but exclaim.
A smug look was plastered on his face. Kaya pala nagpauto ito kina Sofia at Julian, gusto pa lang magpasikat. He finally bought his dream car.
"Are you still going to decline my offer?" tanong nito, may kaangasan ang kaniyang tono.
Pinagmasdan ko ang kaniyang sasakyan, napakaganda at swabe nito. I wanted to buy one for myself too after the series as a treat for all my hard work.
He snapped in front of me to divert my attention, "I'll take that as a yes."
Binuksan nito ang front seat bago ako marahang itinulak doon. I had no choice but to oblige.
It was three in the afternoon when we stopped by a cliff. It was beautiful. Tall trees looked small from where we were. Not to mention, the air is so refreshing.
I heaved a sigh, "It's so beautiful."
"Ang ganda nga." sagot ng aking katabi.
I turned to him only to be bombarded by his eyes. Like a scene from those cliché movies and novels, Donny was not referring to the scenery before us but...
...to me.
I immediately looked away. Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin o ang gagawin. I am not even sure if looking away is the best option! My mind just went blank. I can't think straight. Ibinaling ko na lamang ang aking atensyon sa mga puno. Hoping he'll take a hint and stop whatever he's doing to me.
