Starting Over (Captainsparklez fanfic)

Julian's POV

I grasp the key firmly in my hand as I unlock the door. The apartment is as it looked a week ago when I was down here before. I sigh and close the door as I walk in. I set my suitcase on the bed and look out the window to the city below. I never imagined this would ever be my living arrangement. Actually, this building is very near where my dad lived as a kid. I miss my dad. Even though it's been 14 years since he died. I sweep my long Brown hair behind my ears and walk into my living room. I turn on the TV just to see a message saying No Cable Service.

Oh. Guess I need to call the cable guy...

I look around the rest of the house and make a little list of things I need to do in the next few days.

Change Kitchen light bulbs

Fix Office Closet door (Won't open)

Get new curtains for bedroom

Call Cable Company

I stick the note on the fridge and go downstairs to meet my sister who just texted me saying that she's here. I slip on my shoes that I left by the door and go out to the elevator and ride down alone. When I get out to the parking lot, I see my sister standing out by my car.

"Hey!" I say as I walk up to her

"Hey you ready to get working?"she says with a smile

"Always" I reply as I unlock the back of my Ford Escape, revealing the many boxes.

For the next 45 minutes, we haul up the boxes from the car and start setting up. It takes us about 4 and a half hours but we finally finish. She goes home and I try to make myself a basic dinner. Except I become to lazy and just end up going to get takeout. I do that a lot. When I get back I quickly eat my dinner and go to sleep in my new, comfortable bed.
