✓ PDS : Partially-Deceased Syndrome (PDS), is a condition that the formerly deceased suffer from who came back to life during The Rising. At first they were rabid and killed any humans they came across, but once receiving treatment they were allowed to re-enter society.
✓ ULA : The Undead Liberation Army is a group led by the Undead Prophet, in addition the Prophet also has twelve disciples who follow him. Their aim is to bring a Second Rising so that the living will be wiped out, the Prophet also believes that this can happen by something that lies in Roarton.
✓ Blue Oblivion : drug, the substance seemed to instantly revert the PDS sufferers back to their more violent nature as unmedicated 'rotters' to attack the leaving.
✓ The Rising : event that occurred in 2009 when the dead became reanimated. It was estimated that there were over 140,000 reanimated dead to deal with when the event occurred. Because of this the countries primary focus was first on the bigger cities, giving little to no help to the smaller communities such as Roarton, which led to the Human Volunteer Force being founded.
✓ HVF : Human Volunteer Force is a group based in Roarton. It is created during The Rising to protect the people of Roarton from rotters.
✓ VICTUS : extreme Pro-Living party run by Jung Hoseok, set up in opposition to a moderate, PDS-tolerant government.
