*Gasp*
When he stares at the clock, it was ticking backward. He was confused and in amusement at the same time. "Maybe it's just broken, I guess?" he said to himself. He checked his bag to see if forgot something. As he scrambles his bag in search for his stuff, he noticed something.
Cars were driving slow as they approach him. He finds out that he forgot his drawing book. He slackens his walks and drivers were impatiently honking at him. But of course, Perry was not paying any attention.
The first place that came in his mind was his aunt's dining shack. Perry could have left it over there while he was eating. When he was about to go back to the sidewalk, a car was approaching him in hurry. The car dashed trying to beat the red light and it drove past the others.
*Screech*
Perry looked back and saw a rushing car. In his surprise, he covered himself with his arms as the car approached him. When he closed his eyes, he heard the school clock ring. In the quarter of a second, everything was suddenly moving slowly again. The car's bumper was about to hit him.
When the car was just an inch away from Perry, time eventually froze, and it went to a rewind. Everything moved backward. The car drove back and then Perry was also taken back in time. After a few seconds, time zoomed everything back a few minutes ago.
*Panting*
Perry was now sitting by the chair where he was earlier. "You okay there, Perry?" his aunt asked him. Perry was still in confusion and was messed up mentally. He looks around and saw that everything was back a few minutes ago.
"I'm so okay," He just responded. He turned around and everything was normal. He looked at the table and saw his drawing book. The drawing was already there and nothing was changed, except the time.
Perry stood up and grabbed his stuff. He thanked his aunt for the food and heads to his school. He then walked off as if nothing happened. With each step, a thought pops up in his mind. It's getting worse with every step he takes.
Even if thinking that it was a dream, Perry just can't say it was. He then checked the time again and see that it's back to normal. Perry heads to the pedestrian lane another time and checks the school clock ticking normally. The cars move again as they were as he crosses the road.
He is now aware of what will happen. He checks if a vehicle is about to come in rushing towards him. But this time, there was no car approaching him. He just walks through and then goes towards the gate.
*Crash*
When Perry entered the gate, a loud crash and an explosion were heard. He glanced back and saw an accident. A fast-driving car collided with the others. People panic and gathered around the scene. Students rushed out and joined the commotion.
"Maybe that was how it should be," Perry said to himself. He just gulps and thinks that it wasn't his fault. Even if he was there, maybe that time rewind might happen again. But Perry didn't take it as luck. Maybe he was destined to be saved.
When he tilted his head up, he saw the girl he bumped earlier this morning. He bowed his head lower to avoid recognition. But as he passes the girl, she stood in front of his path. She chuckled lightly and waves at the shy Perry.
"E-Excuse me?" he told himself. Perry was flustered as he looks upon the girl. Perry turned around and fell down to his knees. "Oh, hi, friend. Are you the boy who bumped at me?" the girl said to him. "Yeah, I was. Sorry about that," he replies in embarrassment while kneeling on the ground.
The girl gave him a little cute laughter. Then she reaches her hand for Perry. "Are you okay? Stand up now. Here, take my hand," she said to Perry. Perry was like all mixed up. He doesn't know what to say. He just grabbed the girl's hand and stand up on his feet. "My name is Perry by the way."
*Shiver*
His knees were shaking and Perry was all over in chaos. Perry asked for forgiveness after what he has done earlier. The girl took his apology and gave Perry a pat on the shoulder. "Let's all leave it to the past. Why don't we just be friends, Perry?" the girl told him.
Perry agreed and they soon became friends. That was the weirdest way to make friends according to Perry. They both went to the building and proceeded to their classes respectively. Looking back, both locked eyes right before they were out of each other's sight.
He breathes deeply and shrugged. Perry looks around and scratches his head. Perry just took the day and has discovered a new hope in his self. "Well, I guess time will tell," Perry said to himself.
