[Normani's POV]

"THEY WHAT?"

"Dinah, keep your voice down!" I whisper-shouted, worried someone would hear us.

The other girls were getting ready either in the adjacent room or in the bathroom right next to us, so any of them could easily overhear us. And then I'd be screwed.

"How am I supposed to keep— MANI CAMREN IS REAL I CAN'T—"

"Shut the fuck up!" I scolded, slapping her arm.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME BEFORE?" She started jumping around, completely ignoring what I'd just said. Great. "I can't believe this, Mani, DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA HOW LONG I'VE BEEN WAITING—"

"Ok, enough, shut up!" I covered her mouth with my hand so she would stop talking and gave her a pointed look, "You're being extra, for God's sake."

"Bup cumiren if weel! CUMIREN IF WEAL!" She tried to say, and I'm pretty sure I saw tears of joy in her eyes. This girl, I swear...

"Yeah, and I wasn't supposed to tell you this! It's a secret, you can't tell anyone!"

"Bup phen why bib yu pell me?"

"Because I wanted my hundred bucks!" I rolled my eyes. "Or did you forget about our little bet, Dinah Jane?"

"Fhit."

Ha, as if I wasn't gonna claim my money and my chicken wings... Bitch you thought.

"Yeah, now stop shouting," I scolded, taking my hand off the way.

"This is the best day of my life," Dinah blurted out, making me roll my eyes. She's so damn extra. "I had lost hope, y'know? You saw it yourself, I even bet against them! My 2013-self is punching me so hard on the face right now for giving up on my ship... I've been dreaming about this moment since I was fifteen— Wait, did you ask for the dirty deets?"

"Oh my God, Dinah, no, of course not! Why would I— ew!" How the hell are these her priorities?

"Don't pretend you're not just as curious to know all about Camren's freaky business," she smirked.

"It's their freaky business. Ok, now the point is," I said quickly, changing the subject before she started talking about lesbian sex. "You gotta keep your big mouth shut about this."

I sat on the corner of the bed and grabbed my pair of high heels. If we kept on gossiping like that we were gonna end up being late for our night out.

"Okay but seriously, Mani, why didn't you tell me before? You've known for like half a month... this was cruel."

"We were on break and I wanted to tell you in person," I shrugged, starting to put my heels on. "Anyways, I know what they do is none of our business, but I'm a little worried about Lauren. I don't want her to get hurt, y'know."

Dinah kneeled down to help me lace my heels, seeing I was having trouble with it. She may be annoying as hell but she sure is a sweetheart.

"They're not gonna hurt each other, Mani."

"Dinah, she's going solo next month, leaving us, leaving her. How do you expect this thing to work?" I saw her face drop as soon as I mentioned it, and I immediately felt terrible. I knew how sensitive Dinah was with that particular subject and I may have been a bit harsh.

"Right," she said in a low voice, finishing my shoes and sitting next to me. "That does make things complicated."

"Oh, baby, don't be sad," I immediately wrapped my arms around my friend and gave her a tight hug. "It'll be okay."
