(Piper)

As Brylee drove us back to school, I couldn't help but think all of this was too good to be true. He was so nice to me. I've never had a guy be this nice to me. He was....perfect. What I didn't understand, is why he liked me so much.  What was so special about me that he liked?

It wasn't that I thought I wasn't good enough for him. He was just too good to be true. Sophia defiantly didn't deserve to have him and it made me like him even more when he stood up for me.

"What's wrong?" Brylee suddenly asked. "What do you mean?" I asked him. "You look....worried about something," he said. "I was just thinking about something," I said. "About us?" Brylee asked glancing over at me. "I was just wandering why you like....me?" I asked.

"I already told you," he said. "No. I mean why? You could have any other girl at the school and you chose me," I said. "You're different from any other girl. That's why I like you," he said. "That's bull shit! There's something else! I know that cant be the real reason. You want something from me!" I blurted.

I was suddenly tossed forward when Brylee slammed on the breaks. "What the hell are you doing?!" I yelled. "You really think that the only reason I'm doing all of this is to get something from you?! Do you really believe that?" he asked sounding hurt. "Why else would you be doing this?" I asked.

"What did I do to make you think this?" he asked. I didn't answer as I thought of Dominic. "Piper, you can talk to me," he said leaning towards me. I took a deep breath as hurtful memories surfaced.

"A couple years ago I was in a bad relationship," I managed to say. "What do you mean by bad?" Brylee asked. "The guy I was with used to....abuse me. It wasn't his fault though," I quickly added. "Of course it was his fault! No one else made him hit you!" Brylee yelled getting pissed.

"He had a death in the family. That's what made him act the way that he did," I said. "That had nothing to do with it! He shouldn't have ever put his hands on you that way!" he yelled startling me.

"Why didn't you tell me this sooner. If I would have known that you weren't ready to be in a relationship yet, I would have waited," Brylee said calming down a bit. "That's not something that you bring up as soon as you meet someone. Besides, I am ready to be with you. I want to be with you," I assured him.

"What happened to that guy?" Brylee asked. "I don't know. After I moved away, I never saw or heard from him again," I explained. "Too bad. I wish I could have kicked his ass," he said cheering me up a bit.

...

After we got back to school, I found myself missing Brylee already. I didn't ever want to leave him, especially know I that he likes me for me.

"I really don't want to go. Can't we just go back to school tomorrow?" I asked. "I would but Hagan's probably worried I've been hurt or something," Brylee said. "Let him worry. He'll be fine," I said as he suddenly tucked a strand of my hair behind of my ear.

"I can't imagine living without you being in my life. I'd go crazy," Brylee said. "How'd you do it before we met?" I asked. "I didn't know you then but if I were to loose you now, I'd die of grief," he told me staring deep into my eyes.

"I think I really do want to meet you're mom," he said. "You must really like me if your willing to go through that," I said. "I'd do anything to keep you in my life," he said.

Not wanting to wait another second, I pressed my lips to his causing butterflies to form in my stomach. This was almost like a fairytale. Something that only existed in stories meant for children. The hair on the back of my neck stood up as a sort of electrical spark emanated from are kiss. It felt as if we were destined to be together.
