Chapter 17

~ 1 Month Later ~

Jae p.o.v

It's been a month or so since the members left abruptly, Exo is still healing from the deep wound but they are still working hard and are preparing a film. I still haven't moved on from everything that's happened, everyone thinks I have but I haven't, I'm also keeping a big secret from them I feel guilty but I just can't tell anyone. Joon and I are practicing for our debut that is happening in 3 months. Right now we are practicing our debut song with the help of Shinee sunbaes, only Onew, Minho and Taemin sunbae are here because Key sunbae is overseas doing work but I don't know where Jonghyun oppa is.

Practice was going smoothly and we finished at 5pm, Joon and I walked back home because we don't have a dorm yet so we're still living in our own home. I unlock the door and I'm welcomed by the dark room, it's no longer has the homey feel. I stalked towards my room and change into some sweat pants and a hoodie, then walking into the kitchen I start making instant noodle. Sitting down on the couch with my noodle in my hand I turn on the TV. My bowl of noodle instantly drops on the floor as I see the news.

"On December 18th Shinee Lead Vocalist Kim Jonghyun was reportedly found dead. Police are now investigating and have suspected that Jonghyun had died by suicide. Before he passed away it was found that he had sent a message to his sister saying "It's been really hard up until now. Send me off please. Tell everyone I've suffered. This is my last greeting" The police are still investigating and still haven't found anything else. This is Lee Ki Hyo reporting"

Not caring about the mess I bolted to Shinee's dorm which wasn't far from here when I knocked on the door Onew sunbae opened the door looking very pale, Minho and Taemin sunbae were just sitting there staring at the TV.

J: Onew sunbae I think you should call Ms. Kim and the rest of the family to see how they are going.

Onew sunbae nodded before making the phone call, I walk over to Minho and Taemin and sunbae to wake them up from there shock. Once Onew sunbae was done with the phone call we all went to SM and waited for the news, it was then I realised that every other idols and trainees at SM were all waiting for the news also. We were all anxiously sitting in the practice room waiting, after about a couple of hours appa came inside looking towards the floor.

LSM: Everyone from today onwards your plans would be cancelled until further notice, we need to get ready, Onew call Key and tell him to come back. As for everyone else go home and rest.

~ Several Hours Later ~

Third p.o.v

Key had arrived home to his dorm, as soon as he got home he locked himself in his room and cried Taemin was lying on the floor crying hysterically, Onew wanted to see Jonghyun's body, while Minho had fainted from crying too much and from exhaustion. Onew looked towards his members, he couldn't help but feel like a bad leader, he wasn't a good leader he couldn't even tell his member was depressed which resorted to him suiciding, he didn't deserve being Shinee's leader.

As Onew was beating himself up, Key and Taemin were crying, Taeyeon mind was still processing the thought of Jonghyun passing, she wanted the rumours to be false but she knew it wasn't, all SNSD members huddled around and cried. Jae was sitting in her room reminiscing the past, all the things that have happened but her mind went back to a memory very far back, a memory she couldn't forget no matter what. 

~ Next Day ~

SM Entertainment issued an official statement regarding the death of Shinee's Jonghyun. The statement reads as follow:

"Hello, this is SM Entertainment.

We're sorry to deliver such heart-aching, unfortunate news.
