Chapter Seven-Part Five

Start from the beginning

This might be some sort of a sexual harrassment, but Sun Yang didn't care. If that was really what's needed to break that strong will of that lady, then he would happily do it. Anything to frustrate Si Jin, and anything to bring her to shame. She might not have known death, but she will know fear.

"Wh...what...are you doing?" Mo Yeon struggled to hold her breath.

"I'm letting you know fear!" He suddenly grabbed her neck, choking her instantly. "Si Jin may have thought you a thing or two, but I'm sure he never told you how a man like me works! You are really a fool to believe that Si Jin is a good man! Let me tell you again–Si Jin's not a good man!"

He choked her harder, and she struggled for air. Her hands defensively grabbed hold of his left wrist to release his hand, but in a state of lack of air, Mo Yeon was losing energy to release herself. Her survival instincts overruled her consciousness, and she began begging. "Ja...ja....jaebal...let...me...go... I will do anything....please!" She gasped, her face red.

Sun Yang didn't care. He continued to choke her hard. He wanted her to fall into submission.

Mo Yeon was beginning to faint from suffocation, her vision getting blurry as air disappeared from her airway. Death was just moments away, when at one unexpected point, Sun Yang suddenly released his hand. Mo Yeon instantly fell to her knees, coughing and gasping for air as she placed her right hand around her neck, face showing signs of great strain. The sudden flow of air into her airway made her lungs beat irregularly, and her heartbeat raced.

There was one moment when she subconsciously realised that Sun Yang wasn't doing anything to her anymore. Instead, when she took a peek at Sun Yang, she noticed something strange about the bad guy–he starter wobbling around, and she could his distorted breathing. His expression was so weird, as if he had seen something unexpected. His eyes were transfixed to the wall.

She could hear him muttering, something in Mandarin about saving someone. "No, no, no!" She heard him say. "Let me go! Let me go!" He outstretched his hand, the very hand that nearly choked Mo Yeon to death. During that act, he suddenly placed his other hand on top of his right hand. He had this act of choking someone, yet he was actually trying to pull his right hand free, strain evident on his face as he gritted his teeth. "Hold on, I'll save you!"

Mo Yeon, by then had already returned to her normal state, at first didn't know what was going on with him. As she tried to figure out what was going on, Sun Yang began wandering around, as if lost in his journey. His steps were unsteady, and it seemed that he was about to fall. He never did. Strangely, Sun Yang began tearing up badly.

That was the moment when Mo Yeon finally realised, that Sun Yang was having a delusion. That was the most probable diagnosis, since Sun Yang looked like he was lost in his own reality, walking and wandering around the corner of the meeting room several times in a few turns. At one moment, Sun Yang was smiling. Seconds later, he was brooding, and then moments later, he was mad. His expression swung here and there that it was hard to decipher what he was in fact thinking about right now. Sun Yang was still holding his gun though.

Then, suddenly, he yelled in Hangul. "My daughter! No!"

Mo Yeon was like watching a psychological thriller. Sun Yang was clearly in a bewildered state, and he was muttering all by himself. He was facing the other way with his right hand once again outstretched, as if he wanted to grab something. He muttered something about his daughter. That gave Mo Yeon a slight indication that Sun Yang once had a family. From the way he yelled, Mo Yeon figured that something bad had befell on his family.

However, Mo Yeon had more important things to worry about than Sun Yang's family. Her safety's more vital at this moment, and she had no time to be concerned about something else. Seizing the opportunity to make her escape while she can, she tried to get up as silently as she could. At this point, she didn't want Sun Yang to notice while she was escaping, for a deluded man can be more dangerous than anything else in the world. Mo Yeon rose to her feet, but lowered her posture a little. While tiptoeing towards the door, she managed to take a careful look at Sun Yang, who was still in his virtual reality.
