your pulse races down your veins
one beat travels throughout a network
blood propels itself within you,
a constant current vibrating underneath your skin
i trace your veins
i can feel the rhythm of your heart
your love runs down into your fingers, blessing everything you touch
your joy surges into your vocal chords,
intertwining your words that speak life
your defiance travels to your feet,
keeping your stance strong and planted
and your pain?
you don't let that flow anywhere or you try
it's an effort wasted, because i can see it singing in your eyes
