oh, child of the oceans with salt raking against your lungs, spit the mud off your tongue for it poisons your pure mouth

oh, kin of the sea with barnacles stuck to a waning heart, care not if you fall, for you weren't meant to walk

oh, offspring of the waves with water pressed in your chest, you cannot breath out the wind stirring inside you that once made toys of vessels

oh, progeny of the marine, how is it that you still drown while on solid ground?
