I placed the paper on the professors desk. The paper joined the many others of my classmates.  It only would take a couple hours to know the results. I didn't know if I could wait a couple minutes.

"Skyler, can you come outside with me?" My professor stood up, walking out before I could register what was happening.  The door closed behind me with a soft click.

"You were an excellent student and I might've put in some recommendations to some local places that would do you good. I have some good news. A few had gotten back to me, so if you would like to start as soon as finish grading you can." He handed me an envelope. I held it between my fingers, the paper was light and my name was neatly scribbled on it.

"Thank you so much." I whispered, still in shock.

"Do me proud, I wanna hear your name." He walked back into the room I spent so much time in. I walked back to the bus stop, holding the envelope between my thumb and index finger. I wasn't really paying attention to my surroundings and maybe that's why I ran into someone.

"Shit I'm sorry ma'am."

"It's alright. I'm sorry, I should've been more alert of my actions." I sighed when I seen the bus I was suppose to be on leave the station.

"Are you alright?" The man was wearing sunglasses, but I could still read his facial expressions. He was generally worried.

"Oh yeah. The bus I was had to get on just left, so now I have to walk."

"I'm sorry." He apologized once more.

"It's alright. I don't mean to be rude but I have a long walk ahead of me." I started to back away from the friendly stranger.

"I can drive you home?"

"I couldn't sir, I don't even know your name."

"Cody."

"What?"

"You know my name now, so let me drive you home."

"Fine, alright. Thank you."
