I giggled again, placing my hand over his. "I love it too, Max," I murmured, his breathing soothing to me. "It's one of the most beautiful feelings to me."

My boyfriend smiled, lifting me cutely and setting me on my feet. "I'm so in love with you," he whispered, his arms encasing me. "I can't believe it's been six and a half months since I asked you out."

I smiling sweetly. "Me either," I spoke quietly. Max laughed and slowly kissed me, his fingers holding my chin in his hand.

"Hey there, pretty green eyes..." Max sang against the kiss, altering the lyric slightly. "What you doin' later tonight...?"

I giggled quietly, opening my eyes and seeing his smile. "Hopefully spending the evening with my boyfriend," I laughed, setting my hands on his chest. "He did just promise me dinner and ice cream, after all."

Max chuckled, his strong arms tightening around my waist and pressing me flush against his body. I couldn't help but laugh lightly at the feeling, feeling giddy and happy as I smiled and bit my lip, looking up in his brown eyes. Max seemed to lose himself as he stared at me, this distant look etched on his face as he grinned softly.

"Let's go, yeah?" Max murmured, his fingers running up and down my sides, tracing along my ribs as I closed my eyes. Shivers rippled through my body at his touch, making me shake lightly with a small chill. I nodded slightly, though neither of us moved, unable to make ourselves part from each other's grasp.

"You're captivating," I heard his soft whisper beside my ear. I giggled as I rested my head on his shoulder, my hand on his chest. He pressed his lips against my forehead, holding them there for a long while, breathing sweetly against the skin there. We stayed like that for a long while, Max only moving once to nuzzle his nose into my hair.

"You know what?" Max laughed, shaking his head suddenly. "Screw dinner and a movie; I've got a better idea."

I raised my eyebrows expectantly. "And what's that?"

Max grinned, biting his lip for a moment. "Gather all your blankets and pillows and sheets; then meet me in the living room," he spoke, not answering my question. "I'll go order Chinese and get your Christmas lights."

I tilted my head. "Huh?"

Max laughed, and that beautiful sound had me smiling like crazy. "Don't worry, my sweet, guardian angel," he murmured into my hair. My cheeks turned red at the term of endearment. "Trust me; it'll be fun."

I bit my lip, slowly nodding. Max chuckled and turned me, nudging me in the direction of the door. "Love you," I called over my shoulder. Max grinned, taking his phone out of his pocket.

"I love you too, little dove," he told me sweetly, watching me walk towards my linen closet.

I came back into the living room with mountains of sheets and pillows and blankets and things of the sort. "Perfect," Max laughed, helping me set them on my couch. I blew my bangs from my face, looking up at my boyfriend.

"So what are we doing, exactly?" I asked. Max just grinned again, taking my hand and pulling me against his chest.

"Two words," he told me, pausing for dramatic effect.

"Pillow. Fort."

I couldn't help but love the way Max's brown eyes lit up as he spoke the words, couldn't help but adore the giddy edge to his voice as he told me his idea. I felt younger and younger the more he stared at me, the more his soft musk filled my nose. I giggled, biting my lip a little as I smiled.

"It's perfect," I whispered, feeling his hand rubbing circles into my back. Max's eyes sparkled, my heart fluttering lightly as he kissed my nose, shaking me lightly by my hips.
