Under the Mask

"Who?"

Your sudden question made Adrien's eyes almost pop out of his head. A sly smirk managed to make its way to your lips.

"G-gah... it's not important..." He rubbed the back of his neck, face as red as a tomato. Maybe even redder.

"Hmm... alrighty, then" You say, before continuing the exchanges of truths and dares to each other.

Next Day. . .

You walked out to your balcony, a wave of fresh air swooped past you. The smell of fresh croissants at the far distance reached your nose. You walked to the railings as you bathed under the showering light of the sun.

"Hey, Y/N" Chichi flew to your shoulder, a small chunk of chocolate in her tiny hands. "Hey, Chi" You say, breathing in the cool air of the outside world, "What's up?"

"I just noticed you've been thinking a lot lately, what's on your mind?"

"Chat"

"What?"

"Chat is on my mind, Chi" You repeated yourself.

"... Why is that?" Chichi asked in confusion, pausing her bites of the chocolate in hand. "I'm just wondering who he is behind the mask. It's the one thing that bugs me these past few days" You say, glancing at her tiny figure on your shoulder. "But... Am I allowed to know the true identities of my comrades?"

Chichi looked down for a moment as she tried to come up of an answer. "Well, the past Cheetahs did know the identities of some of her comrades. I mean, the one before you knew who previous Chat Noir was, so I guess it's fine"

You let out a sigh of relief, a breath you didn't know you were holding.

Somehow, someday, I'll find out who you really are, Chat 
(Well, that doesn't sound creepy at all...)

Later that Night. . .
(Time skips fer lyfe -‿-)

You're out patrolling, scanning the surroundings for any kinds of trouble. Jumping from building to building when suddenly-

"Hey Kitty"

"AAAAHHHH!!!" You stopped jumping, and out of reflex-- you landed a punch on whoever scared the crap out'a ya. 

"OW! What the f-" 
(Ey, shush chaton, cursing will not be tolerated in this book)

"Chat?" You say, now noticing the feline in pain from the hard punch you landed. "Yeah, thanks for punching me, by the way" He says sarcastically whilst rubbing his cheek. "For a girl, you're a strong one, Bee"

"S-sorry, Chat. DON'T SCARE ME LIKE THAT!"

"Sorry, kitty. Didn't know you were jumpy" He says. 

You decided not to answer back and just groaned in frustration. Out of nowhere- red and black flashed before your eyes, Ladybug landed in front of you two.

"What're you two doing? Shouldn't you be patrolling?" She says in her usual bossy tone.

"Shouldn't you be patrolling as well?" You hear Chat mutter, but thankfully she didn't hear it. "I was, until Chat here decided to butt in and distract me" You say, casting a glare at the black cat beside you.

"Ugh, just continue your patrol" With that, LB left.

"I think she had a bad day" You say, now noticing her attitude.

"How so?" Chat says, oblivious to her change of tone.

You groaned once again at his stupidity, rubbing the bridge of your nose as you did so. You then heard a beeping noise, though it didn't come from your bracelet.

"Oh, I gotta get going. See ya, Bee!" Chat says before running off.

"Stop calling me that!" You shout. Then suddenly, a thought ran past your mind,

This is my chance to find out who he is!

You quickly - yet stealthily - followed him, making sure he doesn't hear you. You were just behind him. You saw him stop at a dim alley, you hid behind the shadows, careful so that you'll be out of sight, though still have a good view of him.

A green and black light surrounded him, finally transforming his back to his civilian form. As the light faded, he stepped out of the darkness and revealed...

Adrien?
