Anime: Tokyo Ghoul

You were best friends with Kaneki and Hide and it's been that way since you were little kids. You and Hide were going to Anteiku to meet Kaneki and see, as Hide called her, his special lady friend. You've actually had a crush on Hide since you guys were in 8th grade. You are in the same grade, but you were the youngest in the group.

"So, (Y/N), you ready to see Kaneki's one and only true love?" He said while making duck lips.

You laughed at him and said, "I guess. To be honest with you I don't really care, as long as she's isn't a ghoul."

"Yeah, she's probably too pretty for him anyway." He said opening the door for you.

You didn't care that he did that for you. You sat down a the table with your two best friends and started to read a book, as you really didn't care for conversation. You needed to finish the book you were reading anyway.

"There you go again, with the books. You never talk to us anymore." Hide said pouting

"What's wrong with a good book, Hide?" Kaneki asked.

"It's not that I don't like them reading, it's that they never talk to us like they used to." Hide said.

"*sigh* Since you want to talk so bad, what is it that you want to talk about?" You shot back at him.

"You like to read, right? Why don't you tell what's so interesting about that one? You read it every time we come here." Hide asks.

You and Hide often got into little arguments like this, so Kaneki just rolled his eyes and continued looking at the door to see when she would come in. So, while Kaneki was doing his own thing, you told Hide what your book was about. He stopped listening about half way through and just looked into your (E/C) eyes, daydreaming. He always did this whenever you talked to him; he found your eyes trusting and comfortable.

"Hide, Hide, HIDE ARE YOU EVEN LISTENING?" you yelled at him and he snapped out of.

Hide was quickly pulled back into reality and he realized you were talking to him,"H-huh?"

"Now you realize why I don't really talk to you guys. You always space out and Kaneki eventually starts reading something. Anyways, I'm gonna read my book until the waitress come to take our order." You said to Hide pulling out your book.

*timeskip to when the waitress comes back*

"Hi, what would you like to order?" She said politely.

"I'll take a (F/D)" You said.

"I' ll take a black coffee." Hide said

"I'll have what he's having." Kaneki said and with that she left.

"Kaneki, is that her?" Hide asked smirking.

"No, but she is pretty cute. Don't you think (Y/N)?" Kaneki asked you.

You looked up for a second at her, "Yeah, she's pretty." You replied in a blank tone.

You continued to read until you heard a bell ring from someone coming into the cafe, "Hey guys that's her." Kaneki said glancing at her for a moment.

"You don't have a chance." You and Hide said at the same time.

"You guys only looked at her for three seconds and you're already doubting me?" Kaneki said with a hurt look on his face.

"Heh, yes," You said with a smirk on your face, "Anyway, since I know you don't have a chance, I should get going."

"Yeah, I should go too, later Kaneki." Hide said walking out the door with you.

You both paid for the things you got and left.

As you and Hide walked home he said "I'm walking you home, right?"

"You don't have too." You said to him.

He smirked and said, "That was more of a statement than a question."

"Okay, I don't really care."

You wondered why he was walking you home. He wouldn't usually do that, plus you guys had homework to do. At this point you didn't really care and just kept walking. You glance at Hide for a second and notice that he looks super spaced out. He also had a weird look on his face.

"Hide, is there something wrong? You seem like you have something on your mind." You said to him as you two stopped in front of your door.

"Actually, I have something I want to tell you." Hide said with a worried look on his face.

"Okay, well, spit it out already." You tell him.

"Ummm I-I um I l-like you a lot." He said blushing.

"This better not be a joke." You say to him with a serious look on your face.

"I-I swear, it's not and I've had a crush on you since we were in middle school." He said. his face was as red as a tomato.

"Well, I sorta like you too." You said blushing a little.

"Wait, really, wow, I thought you would deny me on the spot." Hide said scratching the back of his head nervously."

You give him a small kiss on the cheek and he almost passed out.

*the next day*

You were making a pizza for dinner, wearing your comfort clothes when you hear you phone goes off. It was Hide texting you.

Hide: Hey, you doing anything

You: No, why

Hide: I wanna take you somewhere. Also, don't eat anything

You: Good thing you texted me now. I was about to eat a pizza. Anyway where do you want to meet?

Hide: At the park

You: K

You put some jeans and a t-shirt and walked to the park.

When you get there you find Hide standing there with a big smile on his face. He had a picnic basket and a blanket.

"Hey. What's all this?" You ask him.

"I just wanted to do something special for our first date. Now, come on, I know a really good spot." He said gesturing for you to come with him.

You were under a tree on a hill and you could see the horizon line as the sun was setting.

"Hide, this is beautiful." You say gazing at it in awe.

"Yeah, anyway you ready to sit down and eat?" He said as he spread out the blanket on the grass.

You sit down with Hide and started to eat. He packed (F/F) and (F/D). You two talked about school, Kaneki, funny moments and a bunch of random junk author-chan is too lazy to list.

When you finished eating you two just stared at each other when finally, Hide started blushing and said, " I just wanted to thank you for coming and I really like you,"

"You don't have to thank me. If anything I should be thanking you for even doing this for me." You say smiling.

"I should walk you home. I getting kinda late." He says.

"Yeah, we should go." You say nodding your head.

Hide and you walk home and Hide kisses you making you blush.

"What was that for?" You ask him, trying to hide your blushing face.

"For being the most adorable thing in the world." He said only making you blush more.

"Okay gotta go see you later." You said rushing into your house.
