I'm not usually one to get comfortable.
It never seems possible or smart.
But for once I let go
Let down my walls and unlocked my heart.
They say things don't last forever,
When you're upset.
They forget that means also,
Good things disappear like a jet.
My heart beat faster tonight,
My breathing was rushed.
The closer I was,
The more my heart pushed.
My heartbeat was loud,
I'm sure you could hear.
I only hope,
No one could see my fear.
So close
Yet so far
Close as my heartbeat
Far away as a star.
