I've been through hell.
I came out scarred.
I went through fire.
And came out marred.

I've met the devil.
With the face of a friend.
I've met with evil.
And was forced to bend.

I've been in darkness.
Without a star.
Couldn't find hope.
Near or far.

I've been torn down.
I've cried in the night.
Begging for sleep.
With none in sight.

I've met with numbness.
Empty and silent.
I've met with chaos.
Bright and violent.

I've been been to heaven.
But fell back to earth.
With broken wings.
Left with no worth.
