AYAHANDA / FATHER

Siang benderangmu menerangi langkahku

Kehangatanmu kadang panas terik membakarku

tapi juga lembut terasa di kulitku

Kau adalah matahari,

tapi kau juga pohon yang subur,

dan aku salah satu buahmu,

yang kausuapi sampai nanti ku dipetik

Tapi saat mendungmu menghalangi lajuku,

kau adalah gelegar petir yang bersahutan,

tapi juga hujan deras berlimpah,

yang beri lahan keringku erosi,

atau juga kesuburan

Lalu redamu warnai aku dengan pelangimu,

yang membentang indah,

bagai kubah abadi tempatku bernaung

Maafkan aku,

untuk setiap bintang di angkasa

yang kauberikan untukku,

ku tak sanggup membayar,

walau dengan awan yang kauminta

Tapi edelweis dari puncak gunung terjal itu,

kujanjikan untukmu

Your bright daylight illuminates my footstep

Your warmth sometimes scorching and burning me

but also feel soft on my skin

You are the sun,

but you also lush trees,

and I am one of your fruits,
