Chapter 54

Month-July

~Dannielle's POV~

The whole gang was out in New York for a week for meetings about Magcon and sadly I couldn't go since my photography teacher had asked me to do a project with all the hotspots around Los Angeles. I asked her if I could just take pictures of the hotspots in New York but they already had somebody there. That being said, I was at home all alone and it would be the 4th day that they were in New York. I had just submitted my project to my teacher and I was about to relax and sit down when there was a loud knock at the door
"Who the hell could that be" I mumbled and went to answer to the door
I opened the door and there stood the one and only Skate Maloley
"Sup Ma" He said and walked in
"Not be rude but what are you doing here" I asked him
"Pack up your bags, we're going on an adventure!" He yelled
I have him a confused look
"Sammy, Rupp and Swazz are downstairs waiting for us come on" He informed me
I stood there looking at him, a bunch of questions going through my mind
Skate rolled his eyes and grabbed my hand, dragging me to my bedroom
"Let's go" He said
He through a duffel bag on the bed and started going through my closet, throwing shirts on the bed
I slowly put the shirts in the bag
"You'll need a bathing suit, pajamas and whatever else you need for 5 days" He told me
I grabbed what he said and then went to the bathroom to get my makeup
"You don't need that" He said
"Ya I do" I looked at him with a 'bruh' face
"No, you don't!" He argued "Now go change in something that you'll be able to hike in and meet me at the front door" He told me and left the room
I was still very confused but I did as he told me and changed into a pair of jean shorts, a crop top with a sports bra underneath and I put on Nike running shoes.
I quickly put my hair in a ponytail and grabbed a tiny makeup bag that had mascara, eyeliner and different types of lipstick and lip gloss threw it in my bag and made sure I had everything
I grabbed the duffel bag and purse, and meet Skate at my front door
"Let's go bitch" He shouted again and opened my door
We walked out and I made sure to lock my bag
We went downstairs and joined Sammy, Rupp and Swazz who were waiting by the car
Swazz grabbed my bag and threw it in the trunk
I called shotgun so I sitting next to Skate who was driving, leaving the rest of the guys in the back
"Can somebody please tell me where we are going" I questioned all of them once we hit the road
"Well right now, we are about to go hike the Hollywood hills, the ones near the sign" Rupp answered me
"You guys confuse me so much" I responded
"Just sit back and relax and let the adventures begin" Sammy told me
I say back in my seat and looked out the window
LA really is such a beautiful place.
Soon enough we were pulling up in a parking lot and we all got out of the car
"As our very good friend J would say, everybody get your hydration this is gonna be a long walk" Rupp spoke
We all grabbed a 2L water bottle
"Let's get this started motherfrickers" Skate yelled, what is up with him and yelling today
We all followed him and started bucking up the hills

"I can't believe you did that" Rupp yelled at Sammy
"It was a joke, chill man" Sammy responded still laughing like the rest of us
"Chill?! You want me to chill" Dillon made a scene "I could have died" He yelled once again
"No because Skate was there to catch you" I told him
"Well I didn't know that" He threw his hand up
In case you are confused we are pretty high up in the hills and they guys all thought it would be funny to push Rupp near the edge but have Skate catch him. So we all walking and suddenly Sammy pushed Dillon and he let's out this huge girl scream and now he's mad because we almost gave him a heart attack.
"Stop arguing, we're almost there" Swazz spoke up, getting annoyed with all the screaming and arguing
Everybody shut up and we kept going for a couple more minutes and we finally got to the top.
Let me just tell you that the view is breathtaking.
"Woah" I breathed out and took in the view
"It's amazing right" Sammy said
"Amazing?! This is beautiful" I told him
We stayed up there for a little awhile just talking, Rupp away from the edges if I may add
"We should get going" Swazz looked at the time
"Yeah" Skate agreed "We want to get as many hours as we can today" He added
"Hours" I looked up
"Skate didn't tell you" Rupp questioned
"No, he just came in the apartment and told me to pack" I told him
"We've decided to drive to Omaha" Sammy cheesed
"DRIVE to OMAHA" I repeated
"Yep, road trip with the squad" Swazz said in a girl voice
"That's going to take a day" I commented
"Actually 21 hours and 41 minutes from this very spot" Sammy corrected me
"You guys are insane" I told them
"Come on, it's gonna be fun. Hitting the road together, listening to some good jams, eating at random restaurants and then at the end you get to meet our families" Skate told me
They didn't give me a chance to answer, since they started walking back down and I didn't want to be left behind

"Ya I think we're lost" Swazz announced
"I told you guys we should've just followed the main track" I spoke
"Chill ma, we got this" Skate tried to reassure me
"Guys, it's really hot, I'm hungry, we barely have any water left and we are lost because you idiots wanted to make memories by going on a different trail" I complained
"It's not the first time we've done this, I swear we are close to the parking lot" Sammy said
"What happened to getting as many hours as we can" I quoted what they said earlier
"We'll still get a couple hours just less than what we had expected" Skate answered
We all agreed that if we didn't make it in the parking lot in the next 20 minutes that we would back track and go back up to the main trail
"I think I see cars" Sammy announced from all the way in the front
We kept walking and sure enough we found ourselves in the parking lot
"Thank God" Rupp praised
We walked to the car and got in. We sat there for a good 10 minutes, enjoying the air conditioning and the water
"Can we get food before we hit the highways" I questioned
"Please" Swazz pleaded
"Are you guys thinking what I'm thinking?" Skate asked
We nodded
"Chik-fil-a" I answered along with Skate while Sammy said "In-N-Out", Rupp said "Sonic" and Swazz said "Carls Jr."
"We're going to Chik" Skate told everyone
We went to the nearest Chik-fil-a, ordered through the drive thru and ate in the car
By now it was 6.
"We need some music up in this bitch" Rupp spoke
"I gotchu" I replied and grabbed the AUX cord, plugging my phone in
"Before you guys say anything, I'm having major Mahone feels so we're gonna listen to some of his songs" I told them and played Way Up
The boys groaned but didn't complain
I sang along quietly and then Lady ft. Pitbull came on
"This is my song hoes" I yelled and turned the music up
Swazz leaned forward and put the song on pause
"10$ says she doesn't know Pitbulls part" He said
"Is that a bet" I turned around to look at him
"Yep, if you know his whole part and can sing along with him without stuttering I will give you 10 bucks. If you screw up one single part, you give me 10 bucks" He said and held his hand out.
"You got yourself a deal" I shook his hand
I unpaused the song and sang along with Austin
When Pitbulls part was coming I turned the volume up
"Now I'm back in the love alert. Laidback, open up now it's my turn. Let me make sure you feel right, feel good. Feel wet, feel freaky, feel nasty, feel wood. It's all good, we can keep it on the low, hush hush. I made it skate skate skate no rush. We can make straight love or straight fuck. As long as EPT say no plus. Lately I've been thinking bout you my baby. I've been thinking bout sexting you crazy. I've been thinking bout the things you shouldn't do. Like in a bathroom star with a car. On the dance floor, over the bar. Or next time in L.A, pull over, get off, and you feel me right next to my Hollywood star. Play with it" I rapped along with Pitbull
Once I finished the song, I paused my music and all of the guys looked speechless
Rupp started clapping
"Damn, you go lil ma" Skate said
"I'm trying to figure out if that was weird or hot" Sammy said from the back
"You proved me wrong" Swazz handed me a 10 dollar bill
I resumed my music and continued to sing along

~A bunch of Austin Mahone songs later~

"Can we please listen to somebody else" Skate asked me once Better With You ended
"Put something that we would enjoy" Sammy added
"Okay but only because y'all were nice enough to listen to Austin" I agreed
I went looking through my playlists
"Kayne?" I asked
They shook their heads
I kept looking
"Chance?" I questioned
"20 bucks says she only has his song with Justin" Rupp spoke
I shook my head
"Look for yourself" I handed him my phone
"Shit" He looked through the playlist
"Were you right" Swazz asked him
"No, I'm pretty sure she has every song of his ever" He answered and handed me back my phone and a 20 dollar bill
I put the AUX cord back in my phone
"40$ says she's a fake fan" Sammy said
"You guys will never learn will you" Skate chuckled and looked at the three of them through the rearview mirror.
"Let Skate pick the song" Sammy told me when I was about to play a song
Skate randomly picked a song and it was Same Drugs.
Obviously I started singing
Mid-song Sam threw 2 20 dollar bills, which I gladly took and put in my wallet.
We listened to Chance for awhile longer and then I decided to put just my whole music on shuffle.

It was a little pass midnight now and we were all starting to get tired. Skate said he would pull over at the next exit, and from there we would find somewhere to stay for the night. We found a hotel and Swazz went to book 2 rooms while the rest of us found a parking space and grabbed everybody's bags. We met Swazz in the lobby
"So for the rooms...?" He questioned
"How many beds?" I asked him
"4 in total" He answered
"Me and Swazz can take one room then you, Sammy and Skate the other one" Rupp replied
"Sounds good" Skate said and grabbed the key card for our room
We decided to take the stairs to race up to our floor. The losers had to pay the winner 10 dollars each.
"Goooo!" Sammy yelled and we all started running up the stairs
Rupp was losing up until he grabbed Skates leg making him trip, making Sammy fall over him
Swazz and I were tied and there was one more flight of stairs before it was our floor. He was just a little bit ahead of me and I saw my chance to make him fall. I went to grab ha leg but he was quick and grabbed my arm. I used my hand on my free arm to hit him in the throat making him let go of my arm, letting me run up the rest of the stairs.
I opened the door to our floors lobby.
Soon the boys were joining me, Sammy, Skate and Rupp handed me my money since I won
"Come on Johnny boy I won" I teased Swazz
"You punched me in the throat" He told me
"It was fair play, now pay up" I held my hand out
He huffed but handed me the money
"Okay we should go to bed, it's getting pretty late" Rupp told us
"Alright, see you in the morning mom" Sammy said
The rest of us said goodnight to each other before going into our rooms.
I called going in the bathroom first. I took a quick shower then changed into loose pajama shorts and shirt. I put my hair in a messy bun and let Skate go in the bathroom.
I decided to text Cam before going to bed since it was just 9:30 in New York
Me- Hey babe
He replied within a couple of seconds
Cam Bam- Aye baby
Cam Bam- What are you doing still up?
Me- I'm in a hotel room right now... adventures with Omaha squad and Dillon
Me- Minus Jack&Jack
Cam Bam- Ok, where are you guys going
Me- Omaha
Me- We should be back by the time you all arrive
Cam Bam- Well have fun and be safe please
Cam Bam- Don't let them do anything too crazy
Me- Considering we almost died today, I'll be careful
Cam Bam- Wait, what?!
Me- I'll tell you when I see you... it's a long story
Cam Bam- Ok... go to sleep now, you need your rest.
Cam Bam- You've been working hard these past couple of days
Me- Kay, goodnight
Cam Bam- Goodnight princess, I love you
Me- Love you too

I closed my phone and turned to my side, I closed my eyes and started to fall asleep until I felt arms around me
I turned around and saw a smiley Sammy
"Boi you better get out of my bed before I smack yo ass" I told him
"Kidding. I was kidding" He got off my bed and put his hands up in surrender
"Night boys" I told Skate and Sammy
"Goodnight Dann"  They replied
I turned back around and this time I fell asleep peacefully.

I really like this chapter, this part one of 3(possibly 4). I'm starting to write my last couple of chapters and it sucks because I feel like I've grown a lot with this book
Anyways, how are y'all?
And guess what?! AFTER ALL THESE YEARS RUPP FINALLY NOTICED ME.
And yeah that's pretty much all I have to say. My birthday was on Monday so ya girl is now officially 15! One more year and she'll be able to drive in her blue Jeep!!!!!!
