*In (Y/n)'s Coma Dream*

When you come to, the first thing you see is an adorable little girl standing in front of you staring straight into your eyes. You blink a few times and try to remember where you were and what you were doing prior to this moment, but fail; so instead you closely examine the mysterious girl in front of you. This little girl wore her (h/l) (h/c) hair in two symmetrical high pigtails with her clean-cut bangs draped perfectly over her forehead. She wore a plain navy blue empire waist dress accompanied with white stockings and Mary Janes. Around her neck was the loveliest heart locket necklace you'd ever seen. You stood there becoming increasingly uncomfortable under the little girl's gaze, her big (e/c) eyes seemingly staring into your soul and reading your inner thoughts. Finally you decide to break the awkward silence by saying something to her. "Hello, would you happen to know where I-" you pause midsentence a bit shocked. It wasn;t until you backed up a bit that you came to the conclusion that this little girl....was you. You finally realize that you were staring into a lengthy gold framed mirror that was at least three and a half feet taller than you. You had been talking to your reflection the whole time and had failed to notice that it was just that! A reflection. Finally you notice a neat and tidy bedroom behind your reflection and quickly turn around. You looked around the small cube-shaped room with creamy white walls along with a large window and a dark oak floor. A mini crystal chandelier hung above the large circular snow white carpet in the center of the room. A plain white wooden bed remained in the corner of the room with a white wooden nightstand standing next to it. Since you didn't know where or who you were at the moment, you decide to look around the room for clues. You look out the window of the room to discover you were on the second floor of someone's house. From the window, you can see some kids having playing with chalk on the sidewalk. You move away from the window and notice the multiple picture frames littering the top of the nightstand. You pick up a black picture frame of the little girl you saw in the mirror (a.k.a you) smiling and holding hands with an oddly familiar man and woman. You knew these people...you've seen them before in a distant past. You close your eyes tightly and think hard trying to remember those people.

*FLASHBACK*

Woman: Happy birthday (y/n)!!! I'm so happy my baby girl is growing up! You look so beautiful in your birthday gown!

(Doorbell rings)

Woman: Oh my, your father's here (y/n)! Go see him!

Man: Happy birthday kiddo! *Man kneels down and hugs you* Did you know that you're my favorite (y/n) in the whole world? Well you are! *Man stands back up and kisses woman*

Man: I have a surprise for you (y/n)! Close your eyes tight and hold out your hands~

(You hear the sound of a bag rustling somewhere around you and feel an object placed in your hands. You open your eyes and gaze upon the small box wrapped in white wrapping paper and topped with a red bow in your hands)

Woman: Ohhhh I wonder what it is! Open it (y/n)!

(You untie the red satin bow on top of the box and slowly tear back the wrapping paper. You open the lid of the box and jump up and down in excitement. In the box sat a diamond heart locket necklace gleaming under the ceiling lights. You grab the necklace out of the box and set the box down on the ground. Then you opened the heart locket to reveal a picture of you on one side of the heart locket and a picture of your parents on the other side of the locket.)

Man: Do you like it? I wanted to make up for me and your mother not being around very often because of work. Now, we'll be with you forever!

(The woman puts the necklace around your neck and secures it. Then she and the man simultaneously hugged you tightly in an embrace full of warmth and affection.)

Both woman and man: We love you, (y/n)!

*END OF FLASHBACK*

Suddenly you gasp as you grip the heart locket necklace you currently wore. You quickly fumbled with the locket and opened it. This confirmed your suspicions . Inside the locket were separate pictures of you and your parents. How could you forget your own parents?! You instantly remembered your biological mother and father along with where and who you were. You somehow teleported back in time to when you were 8  years old. This was your old house in your home state of (y/s). You felt a sense of misery and home sickness for  some odd reason. In another picture frame, the little version of you was blowing out a pink wax candle in the shape of a 7 that was wedged inside a big chocolate cake. In the background a huge banister hung behind little-you with the words 'Happy 7th Birthday (y/n)!!!' imprinted on it. There were loads of pictures of you and your parents lined up on the nightstand. Now that you noticed it, there were pictures of you pinned to the wall. Lots of them! You examine every picture displayed in your room, memories slowly flooding back. One picture showed you learning how to ride a bike. Another showed you eating ice cream for the first time. You smile and grip your heart locket at all the warm memories that were coming back. Suddenly you come across a calendar with one particular day circled and all the other days before that were crossed off with an 'X'. According to the calendar today was the 14th of December. Something felt...off to you. Today was something important, you could feel it in your gut. But...what was the occasion? Unfortunately your brain wouldn't allow you to recall the memory so you just shrugged it off. Then you heard a knock on your bedroom door. "(Y/n), honey, the neighbors are here for a visit. Come downstairs and say hi!" said a woman's voice from behind the door. "Yes Mom" you said out of reflex. It was like you somehow knew that that was your Mom. You quietly listened to the soft thumps of your Mother walking downstairs. You skipped over to the mirror and adjusted your clothes a bit before swinging the door of your bedroom open and hopping downstairs. As you walked down the stairs you begin to recall memories from where you were prior to this moment. You thought hard and vaugely remembered a tall skeleton covered in blood, a short skeleton crying, some giant lizard lady in armor, and a fish-human hyrbid  scientist. "Must've been a dream" you think to yourself. When you reach the final step of the staircase, you stop dead in your tracks. You felt faint and a huge headache hit you out of nowhere. Something was VERY wrong and your brain was trying to tell you that, but you still couldn't remember what the dilemma was. As you walked into the living room, you instantly stopped and took a hesitant step back  seeing the two vile human beings you could never forget no matter how hard you tried. Sitting on the couch and talking with your mother were your foster parents who at the time were your neighbors. When you looked at them you were hit with a sudden unexplainable feeling of fear and anger. Then you turned to look at your mother sitting on the other couch in the living room and you almost vomited. Your "mother", or whatever was left of her anyways, was a decomposing corpse who looked very much like Emily from the famous Tim Burton movie "The Corpse Bride". She was missing large chunks of flesh on various parts of her body, her bones exposed in those places. Her hair was matted and filled with dried blood and she was missing an eye. The parts of her body that did have flesh were filled to the brim with stab wounds. For some reason your neighbors/future foster parents and even your Mother herself were unaware of your mother's bloody massacred rotting corpse body. Your heart skipped a few beats when your mother noticed you standing by the stairway and beckoned you to join them, as did your neighbors. Seeing this familiar scene made you instantly remember what day today was. As you slowly inched your way towards your Mother on the couch, you finally realized why your brain had been freaking out before. You sat down on the couch next to your rotting Mother, who was alive somehow, as she gave you a hug mixed with blood and grime from her body. You were trying your hardest to surpress a scream as your mother was pushing you up against her bare bones and bloody flesh unbeknowingly. She then released you from her hug and continued talking to your neighbors as if nothing was wrong. You sat there next to her silently as your brain finally came to a conclusion. Today was the day of your parent's death.
