Chapter 6-Meeting and Intrigued

Shayne turns his head suddenly.
"Oh, hey guys!"

A feeling of excitement spreads through my body, my heart skips a few beats, and my stomach has a weird, but good feeling. I couldn't help but have a huge smile on my face.

What was wrong with me?

His eyes made their way towards me, making his eyebrows adjust in confusion.
"You must be Courtney, right? We haven't officially met," Shayne said, getting up from the bed.
"Uh, yeah," I said with a big grin, but with a slight nervous tone. He smiled, and held out his hand for me to shake it. A must've seemed like a freak, because I shook it in the most awkward way ever. He gave me a strange look and then smiled.

Oh my goodness, his smile!!

Keith and Noah went off to talk to him, and I stuck with Olivia.
"He's pretty cute," I whispered to Olivia.
"Yeah, haha. You're just saying that as a friend, right?" Olivia asked. I got confused, but I just froze. Olivia looked at me funny.
"You can't get feelings for him," Olivia said with sympathy.
"Why not?" I asked.
"It's a rule, no dating other Smosh members. It would just distract the two from work," Olivia said. My heart sunk.
"But what if I do fall for him? Can I count on you to be my side chick?" I said.
"Sure, and I understand how you feel. I fell for someone in Smosh before," Olivia said, and I could see the sadness spread through her body, just by looking at her face.
"Who?" I asked.
"I'll tell you later, let's unpack," Olivia said and smiled... and I couldn't help but get a few glances of Shayne during the process.

Shayne's P.O.V

My first official day of actually being a member of Smosh. I've hung out at the place and helped with filming, but never been in a video quite yet.

I met four really great people so far. Olivia, Keith, Noah, and Courtney, I think it is? They all seem really fun, but Courtney seems intriguing. I want to get to know her more.

She acted kind of strange around me, did I do something wrong? I don't know, she's very beautiful though.
