Silent Beauty: Chapter Nineteen

Start from the beginning

"I'm so sorry baby. I found my twin sister today and she is the mate of a powerful soon-to-be Alpha. I am going to get you and the rest of the woman out of here. I am going to make you safe, mate." I whispered into her ear hearing her gasp at my words. She was probably shocked to hear that I knew she was my mate and she most likely wasn't expecting me to tell her that I was getting her out of here. I planned to do exactly as I said though. I would do anything to protect her from the horrible men in this pack, and Liam was going to help me with that.

"You know that we are mates?" she asked obviously shocked just as I expected.  She looked up at me in confusion and I just nodded at her with a smile upon my face as I wiped away the remaining tears from her face. I didn't expect fresh tears to well in her eyes as I nodded and she immediately buried her face into my shirt again quietly sobbing.

I was completely lost until she spoke. "I'm so sorry I didn't tell you that we were mates. I just didn't want my father to harm you if he found out. I'm so sorry Anthony. I'm a horrible mate." She mumbled before breaking down into my shirt again and I just whispered reassuring words into her ear as I held her tight, never wanting to let go.

"Gracie, you are the best mate that I could ever hope for, and I understand why you didn't tell me. I love you baby." I said sincerely and her head snapped up. She had happiness in her eyes and a hint of a smile graced her lips. I smiled down at her before leaning in slowly and giving her a lingering kiss. I knew that I wouldn't be able to see her for a while, and I wanted to memorize this feeling.

After a minute both of us pulled away with grins on our faces. " I love you, too, Anthony." She said and I couldn't help but peck her lips softly before pulling away with a serious expression on my face. I had been here a while, and I needed to leave before the pack started to wake up and I still had to explain some things to Gracie before I left.

"Ok Grace, I need you to listen carefully. If you hear any news about me from your father don't listen to it. None of it is true, so just ignore it. I am staying with my sister and her mate while we figure out how to get you and the rest of the woman away from her safely. I promise that I will come back for you, though. Please keep yourself safe and know that I love you with all my heart, Gracie." I said before gently setting her on the ground and standing up. I gave her one last longing look before turning around and quickly making my way across her room and out the window.

I didn't dare say goodbye to her because that would seem to final. Leaving her there was the hardest thing I've ever had to do, and I knew that now I would just be counting down the days until I could see her smile and hold her in my arms once again. I just hoped that she was be okay while I was gone.

Ally's POV:

I woke up with a groan feeling pain around my eye and cheek. I reached up and felt that the side of my face was swollen and it took me a minute to remember what happened. The last thing I remember was seeing Liam's dad step towards Anthony and I couldn't let him hurt my brother, so I stepped in between them. After that everything is a blur. I slightly remember somebody cradling my head in their lap and then somebody carrying me up to the room, but it's hazy.

I started to sit up alerting Liam and making him jump up quickly. His eyes scanned my face and I noticed him become tense and could see that he was getting extremely angry. I reached out and rubbed my hands over his face attempting to calm him down.

It took a few minutes but eventually Liam had settled down and he tentatively reached out stroking my cheek making me wince in pain. Liam looked at me with pain and anguish in his eyes. "Angel, are you alright?" he asked softly taking my hand in his and looking at me worriedly.

I smiled as well as I could before answering, "I'm fine Liam. Just a little sore. What happened?" I asked and his eyes tightened in anger again so I gently rubbed my thumb over the back of his hand waiting for his answer. He seemed to take a deep breath trying to control himself.

"You stepped in between my father and Anthony just as my father was about to punch Anthony, and he didn't have enough time to stop himself so he ended up hitting you. It knocked you out and then I couldn't control my wolf so I ended up attacking him while Anthony made sure you were alright." He said looking into my eyes. I gasped. I couldn't believe Liam had attacked his own father.

"Liam! I bet your father feels horrible. I didn't know that he was getting ready to punch Tony. I just didn't want him to hurt him so I thought stepping in front of him would give me enough time to explain that Anthony was my brother." I exclaimed getting up quickly feeling the need to go and talk to Derek. Liam stood up with me and grabbed my arm.

"Ally! He punched you in the face. How can you think that's alright?" He questioned incredulously and I just gave him a soft smile. Liam was so protective of me and I loved that, but I know Derek didn't mean to.

"Liam. I know your father would never hit me on purpose and I am sure that he feels terrible about it now. I know that you are angry with him, but really it was my fault. He was just trying to protect Clare from what he thought was a threat and I stepped between them. You already attacked him once. I think you two are even. I will not be the reason for you ruining your relationship with your father." I said sternly and Liam looked down defeated before he nodded in understanding. I know that he felt that he had to hate his father for hitting me, but I wasn't going to let that happen. Liam is too close to his father, and I wasn't going to let him ruin that because of an accident.

With that thought, I grabbed Liam's hand and dragged him downstairs and into the kitchen where his parents were. Derek was sitting at the counter with his head in his hands and I could hear him sniffling while Clare was making breakfast and sending his worried looks every few seconds. I was surprised to see the big Alpha crying, and I couldn't believe it was beating him up this much that he had hit me.

I gave Liam's hand a squeeze before letting go and walking over to Derek's side. He didn't look up when I approached and I figured that he wasn't going to, so I just decided to hug him. I wrapped my arms around his large frame and finally he lifted his head to look me in the eyes. Now I could tell that he was in fact crying and he looked so guilty that I had to just hug him hard one more time. He hugged me back and whispered in my ear, "Ally, I am so sorry. I never meant to hit you. I don't know if I can ever forgive myself for hurting you like that. Liam had every right to attack me like he did." His voice came out soft and I could hear the heartbreak in his words. He really did feel awful.

I knew that I had to let him know that it was just an accident, and he didn't have to beat himself up about it. "Derek, its not your fault. I stepped in between you and my brother and I know you were just doing what you thought you had to do to protect everybody. It was just an accident and you shouldn't feel guilty. I will be fine in no time!" I said happily and Derek just looked up at me with gratitude in his eyes. He looked like a huge weight had been lifted off his shoulders, and I was just glad that I could make him feel better.

I gave him a kiss on the cheek before pulling away from him and going to take a seat by Liam who was looking at me with pride and love. "You're amazing Ally." He whispered to me when I sat down before leaning over and pecking me on the lips and returning to eating while holding my hand.
